It all started two weeks ago. I was at work and I got a call from my wife. She told me my son was sick and they were on their way to the E.R. I had no idea what was going on but now we have discovered that it’s a zombie apocalypse. The virus is spread when a zombie bites a person. They are everywhere and everyone that’s still alive needs to know how to defend themselves.
That was before I was prepared, now I know how to take care of myself . Now my sons dead, or a zombie, I don’t know. Anyways, I’m writing this guide to help the rest of my family survive. You are going to need good shelter, supplies, know how to tell if someone's infected, and how to defend yourself. First of all, make sure you have a secluded and secure place to stay. From all of the things I’ve seen on TV, I would pick a prison. It already has locks, fences, and possibly weapons. You would need to kill all of the zombies inside if there are any. Then you need to make sure you can lock all the doors, keep the windows shut, and take a look at the

If they’ve been bitten by another zombie, then they are definitely going to be infected. Other symptoms include; fever, coughing up blood, green fingers or toes, and continuous mumbling. Do not let anyone in unless you know for certain they are not infected. If someone inside gets bitten on a part of their body that can be amputated go ahead if it’s what they want. Make sure they know if it’s not amputated, they will die. You’re going to need to make sure everyone knows how to defend themselves. Not just with a gun, but with anything you can make a weapon out of. They need to be able to stab the zombies in the head and pull it back out quick enough to kill anymore that are after you. You can practice shooting a little, but don’t waste bullets. If you practice shooting just know you risk drawing in more zombies because they come to where they hear
You suddenly awake from a coma in what seems to be an abandoned hospital in downtown Atlanta. As you leave your hospital bed looking for any signs of life, you see a barricaded door that reads “Don’t Open Dead Inside”. As you walk past the door, hands of the undead reach out in attempts to consume you. This is how main character, Rick Grimes, was introduced into the zombie ridden post apocalyptic world of AMC’s “The Walking Dead.” If you are a fan of the series and have been watching it since season 1, you absolutely know that the “walkers” are not the only thing that Rick and the other main characters have to protect themselves from.
The basic core of the show is that the apocalypse is not entirely different than normal life. When people are put into situations that are new, there are various reactions. Some will bring their old values and beliefs, others will evolve into something they did not even know they were capable of. A few will find out they are more capable and valuable in a civilization such as this than they were before. When it comes down to it, authority figures can come from anywhere, people of power will fight to provide for themselves, and no one is safe from anything in a zombie apocalypse.
How do they survive the storm? What helped them crawl into the popular culture and continue through the changing fads of past decades? The zombie craze was “born” for the hardcore horror fans but has been kept “alive” by fear and publicity that is focused on everyone. Before the zombies arrived, the hardcore horror fan needed something gruesome and zombies really gave it to them. A zombie is the living undead that has been awakened by a phenomenon such as the heat of the moon.
The zombie race is very different. It doesn't not have many abilities and is not advanced like humans. Their behavior patterns are different. They cannot stand cold or winter weather. Their behavior is very different and difficult to calculate. They usually stand around lingering and waiting to attack when they hear something. They follow noises. Some abilities that they do have is that they have excellent hearing and can walk but aren't blind. The also can smell human blood. Zombies are generally weak but don’t underestimate what they can do to a human.
Brains. Must have brains. There are a lot of far-fetched scenes that horror movies have filled in our heads over the years. Many elements of fiction have created varying degrees of panic, more so since the emergence of the false “Based on a True Story” label. There is one terrifying creature once thought to be fictitious that has recently gained popularity in the media as well as news channels around the world. A situation that would have negative global effects far worse than any other natural disaster previously experienced. But just what is this violent biological phenomenon that has people taking a second look at our understanding of pathogens and the effects of chemicals on biological organisms, you may ask. The simple answer is the very real possibility of a zombie outbreak. Zombies are a misunderstood being. The definition that used to be applied is that of a once living being revived from a posthumous state with a nasty appetite for flesh. However, the new definition of zombie is that which is being evaluated as an eminent fear. Zombies are widely accepted, currently, as a being that has been subjected to a biological change that incites rage, neurological defects and an enormous appetite for meat. Many factors contribute to zombies being considered a realistic threat to life as we know it; including but not limited to chemical products consumed by humans as well as viral infections with effects not previously researched in depth. Biotechnology is our best defense against our closest neighbors.
If you want to know to survive the zombie apocalypse here is some useful tips. One, use a silent weapon, preferably a knife unless you have to use a gun. Two, adapt to your surroundings and use them against your enemies alive or dead. Three, buddy system the more the merrier. Four, no matter what, you are surely going to need canned food because the rest is probably going to be rotten. Five, repopulation even if it sounds nasty about 9/10 of the human population is going to be zombies, but be careful babies can attract zombies. Six, be a hero because those people screaming for help are precious for survival. These are all very important rules, but here are some really important tips.
Every house should have a "zombie kit" that consists of food, water, medication, , duct tape, a radio, clothes, first-aid supplies and weapons of mass destruction. Water, food and weapons are the three most valuable things one will need to survive.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a real and serious condition that affects many people around the globe. One of the things that can be done to supposedly help a person dealing with ADHD is medication. But what happens when something goes wrong? There is no cure for ADHD, simply management. Doctors will talk about all the benefits of taking medication for ADHD, but some things may not be what they seem. Not many people speak of what is being called the “zombie effect” openly. There’s whispers between parents, but not much more. This has been going on for a few generations now. Is medicine advanced enough in the modern age to avoid the zombie effect? Or is there something still going on inside the minds of people heavily medicated for ADHD?
In the article, “A Zombie Manifesto: The Nonhuman Condition in the Era of Advanced Capitalism” by Sarah Juliet Lauro and Karen Embry, the authors’ evaluate the idea of the zombie and its connection to capitalism and post-humanism. According to the authors, the zombie represents much more than just a fear, it represents a loss of oneself to many different things, primarily to a capitalist society. The authors have come to the conclusion that humans have a fear of what they cannot control, and that is why the zombie is so big in entertainment. We see zombies everywhere, in movies, books, tv shows, fundraisers, marathons, and so much more. They have been around for decades, but recently they have become very popular. The authors believe this is
“Zombie killings are similar to reading and deleting 400 work e-mails on a Monday morning or filling out paperwork that only generates more paperwork, or following Twitter gossip out of obligation, or performing tedious tasks in which the only true risk is being consumed by avalanche” (41). These are all similar to zombie killings because zombies will never go away unless you turn to really harsh tactics like aiming for one’s brain with a shot gun and repeating this for every zombie you come in contact with. In order to clear those 400 emails after reading them you must repeat the steps for each and every one, which is time consuming and can be very frustrating. Completing paperwork is very tedious, and can sometimes become overwhelming you may begin to feel as if it will never end which is common well it can feel similar to that when it comes to zombie killings as well because there will be one zombie followed by another one and many more to come. “Battling zombies is like battling anything….. Or everything” (42). Never assume the war is over because it is not, there will be one or more zombies hiding out, the war is never over. “The zombies you kill today will merely be replaced by the zombies of tomorrow” (44). Zombies are a “live-stock” they are brain dead but they travel in packs and have no limit as to how far they will go. In the movie Dawn of the Dead the zombies actually
Mass amounts of people will die, families will be separated, and peaceful ways of life will be long gone. Guard your loved ones, board up your windows and keep your gun under your pillow because you’re gonna need it. I have taught the facts, the opinions, and the theories on the possibility of a zombie apocalypse. I have explained with facts and statistics the ramifications of it if it was to happen, the way and speed at which it can spread, and the cruelty that will follow. You can protect yourself and the ones closest to you, but first you have to believe it.
In addition, the zombies also appear to be malnourished, and are seen moving extremely slowly in many scenes. One prime example is when Rick and Glenn first meet and are heading to the campsite just outside of Atlanta. They were trying to get to the campsite when suddenly the zombies start following them and they have to look for a way to escape. At this time, Glenn tells Rick not to worry about them since they will “be long gone before [the zombies] get down [to them]” (Kirkman and Moore n.p.). When we see these types of traits, we would often assume they are sick or abnormal; we like to believe that in order for someone to be considered normal, they must be healthy and have an appealing appearance that fits social standards.
First of all, we all know that zombies are like blind fish swimming in the ocean. They can’t walk very fast, and they aren’t smart, but always make sure to have some weapons and items with you when a zombie apocalypse starts. Have a knife so you’ll be able to kill the zombies or your friends if you loathe them. Also, make sure to have a gun and
With this information, of which is all theoretically possible, we now have a zombie that passes the principles of a zombie. The medical science involved has now proven that zombies are possible.Have fun and do not create this unless you want to be responsible for the mass genocide of the human race.
In recent years, there have been a plethora of film releases that pertain to the central topic of zombies. Typically “zombies thrive in popular culture during times of recession, epidemic and general unhappiness” (Drezner). Zombie films began around the 1920’s, and continue to fill modern day theatres. These films, although dramatized for entertainment, are something that truly could, and have, occurred. These films have been modernized, in order to fit the desires and demands of a modern-day audience, and therefore are tremendously different from their original zombie-film counterparts.
