Gripping. Brilliant. Cold-blooded. It was a time of terror. Cold-blooded zombies would murder each other in the street. The zombies had flesh tearing off of their faces as they clawed through the streets. The zombies would moan and groan and wake you up in you’re sleep only for you to be eaten by the zombie. Only one man knows how to stop the terror. One smart, clever man - Michael Saw. Michael is a 16-year-old detective from school with a thirst for weapons. Michael is the outcast in his school. Nobody really likes to talk to him because he wears all black but he is very smart when it comes to weapons and self defense. He is left with two options: stop the cold-blooded zombies in one hour, or allow the world to end in a ball of fire. Michael decides to try and stop the cold-blooded zombies and kills all but two of them and those two zombies that are left end up killing Michael. Then zombies take over the planet. Zombies turn any humans left into slaves. Some zombies make humans fight to the death and than eat the rest of their remains. Other zombies force humans to turn to cannibalism as a means to survive. A few of the zombies decide to slowly torture the humans to death. One day out of nowhere Michael rises from the dead and murders every zombie that is left on the planet. Michael ends up having to make a science lab and make more people from embryos on up in a tester tube. Every human that is developed in a tester tube are completely normal people except for one thing. These people have one thing implanted into their brain. The one thing implanted into there brain is to destroy every zombie and brainwashed person. The new people were born extremely violent and will turn to anything to destroy the Zombies because these Zombies are almost unable to be killed. The new people decide to make an atomic bomb designed specially to kill zombies and nothing but zombies. Every zombie ends up dying a slow toxic painful

Like a gangster, Michael Myers’ main focus throughout the film is brutality; “The practice of brutality – the quality of unmixed criminality – becomes the totality of his career” (3). This brutality is clearly illustrated in the scene where Bob is assailed by Michael Myers. After Bob finished sleeping with Lynda, he headed downstairs to fetch the beers Lynda requested. As he did so he heard a strange noise coming from the door. Curious, he made his way over to the door to find that there was nothing there. Figuring it was just Lynda messing with him, he opens up the cabin doors and calls Lynda an “asshole”. Failing to find Lynda, he decided to check another but little did he know that Myers happened to be hiding amongst those doors. The moment he opened them, Myers flew through the door and caught him by the throat. Bob attempted to struggle but failed to overpower him. As he drew his final breathes, Myers stabs him through the chest and watches the light slowly fade from his eyes.
Michael soon decides that if he can trust Joe enough to keep in silence, he may be able to out wit the police. When Michael makes his decision, he never considers the ramifications that will come of it. For example, Michael never even considers the long agonizing nights he will stay awake or the ling pain filled days he will go through thinking of Jenna Ward and her mother suffering day after day. The zombie sequence has become extremely popular with the increase of novels and films recently produced. George Romero and Maximillian “Max” Brooks are two popular screenwriters focusing on zombie stories and horror films. George Romero is an American-Canadian film director and producer best known for his horror film Night of the Living Dead (Staff, 2012). Max Brooks is an American horror author and screenwriter best known for his novel and now film World War Z (Staff, 2012). Romero and Brooks are both zombie fanatics who have many similar interest in undead creatures and numerous differences as well. The ideal view preferred in society is fast-moving zombies. Both authors scripts reflect this preference. Romero and Brooks are both talented authors in showing others their beliefs in zombies.

There is no denying that zombies are popular they are popping up everywhere from movies to video games and more. But why, what lies behind this braindead form of entertainment. Many of us just carry about our lives and never truly ask ourselves what makes zombies popular, what do they stand for, what are they all about. Zombies are a metaphor, they are humans who have lost what gives us dominance over the animal world, our powerful brain. They use a lot of information that is overwhelming, and does not add a lot of validity to the point they were trying to make. Throughout the article, the authors take from various other zombie pieces, such as movies, books, and TV shows and use them to add to their ideas. In some cases, they also use other pieces and discredit them as a way to prove their own point. For example, they talk about the “Cyborg Manifesto” by Donna Haraway. This essay presents the idea of the cyborg, which is an organism that is part human and part machine. Throughout the essay, Haraway gives examples of where we see the cyborg throughout media, and how humans might be connected to it. The authors in “A Zombie Manifesto” stated how they were influenced to title their piece after her, but they go on throughout the essay constantly trying to prove the piece wrong. They argue that the idea Haraway is presenting is not truly what humans connect to, and the authors think their ideas are more relatable. They believe their zombie interpretation is more relatable than Haraway’s cyborg interpretation. The authors are trying to make their interpretation more valid by invalidating another interpretation. This makes the piece hard to agree with, for an interpretation is relative to each person, and tearing apart another interpretation is an unproductive way to persuade readers to agree with you and your ideas. Another reason the article is difficult to agree with, is the fact that it is very difficult to understand. With the piece being as persuasive as it is, the authors did not take the time to ensure the writing would be easy to understand for all. In reading the article, it felt as though the authors had a specific group of readers in mind and didn’t accommodate to others who might find interest in zombies. The article is written in such a way
“Zombie killings are similar to reading and deleting 400 work e-mails on a Monday morning or filling out paperwork that only generates more paperwork, or following Twitter gossip out of obligation, or performing tedious tasks in which the only true risk is being consumed by avalanche” (41). These are all similar to zombie killings because zombies will never go away unless you turn to really harsh tactics like aiming for one’s brain with a shot gun and repeating this for every zombie you come in contact with. In order to clear those 400 emails after reading them you must repeat the steps for each and every one, which is time consuming and can be very frustrating. Completing paperwork is very tedious, and can sometimes become overwhelming you may begin to feel as if it will never end which is common well it can feel similar to that when it comes to zombie killings as well because there will be one zombie followed by another one and many more to come. “Battling zombies is like battling anything…..
