Brian Evenson and Zak Sally do a great job showing what the story tells and how the main character feels by taking quotes of the main character of his feelings while showing them in a pictured form as if the story was a comic. This is really good because sometimes the reader might be confused about the text or think of what it says in another way then what the author thought of.
This also gives more life to the story in the way of showing a more fantasied version of the story than what the reader might have in his/her head.
The text and images both show sadness and depression towards the main character but more importantly, they both are directly connected to the main character’s thoughts
