Also, I was part of Rio Salado Target Terminators, a youth shotgun club offering disciplines in trap, skeet, and sporting clays
, and participated in a couple competitions. I also volunteer on Saturdays at EVIT Lab with the assembly and building of a Sonex aircraft which we hope to one day fly. Once I hit high school my parents and I discussed taking an online class to see if aviation would be something that would be of further interest, and possibly something to pursue as a career. I enrolled in an online class, Fundamentals of Aviation Science through Aeroscholars
. I loved every aspect of what I was learning; meteorology, mechanics, history of flight, air navigation, engines, air traffic control and Science of Aviation. An opportunity to fly with the Young Eagle program arose which I took. Flying through the open skies was very enlightening, and inspiring. This year I enrolled in East Valley Institute of Technology in the Aviation Program and have absolutely loved it. My interest has grown along with my knowledge. All areas of aviation excite me, but flying has always been my main goal. I plan to continue my education and hope to one day be a corporate pilot. The first goal I have is to earn my private pilot certification. I hope to become a flight instructor, and I would love to continue flying and hope to inspire others too. I will be carrying the financial load myself utilizing my savings from my past employment as well as earnings from any future employment. One goal is to obtain a private pilot license by the time I graduate High School in May 2018. My plan also includes becoming a flight instructor. I plan to earn my High school diploma, and as soon as I graduate continue my post-secondary studies at Arizona State University, North Dakota University, or Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I will work toward earning a bachelor's degree in aviation, with my long-term goal focusing on becoming a corporate pilot.
