Writing Reflection

Writing is an activity which allows me to express thoughts I can not always verbalize. I enjoy writing, but typically need time to get my thoughts in order. The benefit to writing down my thoughts, as opposed to speaking them, is that I can edit and decide if my written words match my thoughts. In the following paragraphs, I will look at the class assignments and appraise them to determine what I have learned this semester. The first three topics we were assigned to write about were personal narrative, evaluation and argument. Our first assignment was to write a personal narrative, and I chose to write about what I have learned from my family. This was a fun paper to write, and I later shared it with my family. I enjoyed letting them know how they have been a positive influence for me. It has been a long time since I’ve written a paper to be graded. I have had to focus on punctuation, grammar and use words and phrases which enhance my narrative.
