Lindsay Roach Writing Assignment 12.2 Personal Reflection Question Writing is a process that goes through many stages and revision is what makes it move from stage to stage. Revision is re-working and re-writing, it is not merely changing a few words, adding a sentence here or there, or taking out material that was unnecessary. To revise a paper is to restructure the paper, eliminate unnecessary details or information, add details, move paragraphs and sentences around, rewrite paragraphs and sentences, double-check the accuracy of the supporting evidence, reword awkward areas, edit, and proofread. Paragraphs and sentences are moved and rewritten, and the grammar is cleaned up. I may even need to continue expanding and exploring ideas and thoughts as they are rarely expressed well after only two tries. My composition has enhanced massively all through the semester. Before I took this class, I didn't generally know the best possible approach to compose a paper. Presently, I figured out how to approach composing a paper. I took in a few approaches to diagram my data. The thing that I discovered that has been most useful to me this year is the manner by which to compose a first draft. Some time recently, I would dependably compose a draft and roll out a couple of improvements to it and call it my last duplicate. Presently, I simply get as much data as I can into a draft and change and alter it as much as I can until the point that the paper is expected. All that I took in this year has helped me to build up a type of composing process.     Similar to my “one and done” mentality, my lack of revision on my writing pieces is because of meer laziness. Revision is in fact very important because it offers you the chance to look at your writing pieces from a critical perspective.
