Work Experience I absolutely had no idea what I wanted to do for work experience. I had about three different options, but I always had a negative thoughts. One was to work in a bank of any sort. Well, the good things were that I think it would be fun and it does make you look smart and important. The negatives where that, to be totally honest, I was really good at money! I wasn't that smart in maths and was also a bit careless. I thought that working in a bank would make me have big responsibilities (like handling money or talking to customers) too big that I couldn't even handle. There was no way that I was going to go to a bank and make a total klutz of myself. All I thought about when I heard "money" was spend, spend, and spend! Two was working in a primary school. I already had two brothers that drove me bonkers, and they were in primary school, what was I going to do with more than a dozen of them? I would go mad. The good things about working in a primary school were that I like little kids and helping them. It makes me feel important, knowing they would listen to me. The negatives were that, not all kids were good, they might give me a hard time and I would than be stressed out and make me lose my temper. Finally, working in a shop. I had a long think about that one. I didn't like the sound of me working in a shop, to be completely honest, anyone would agree with me. First, it's not like they would let me run the place and two, they won't put me behind a counter, after like, a day of knowing me, would they? I know what they would make me do. Clean and make me stock up the shelves when they've nearly run out of item... ... middle of paper ... ... I did do the placement for a week only; it's not always going to be this fun and easy as a teacher. I know sometimes it does get hard and children have a different attitude very week. Maybe I came in a good week. It was fun while it lasted, but I know people that actually work in primary school and they often come home with migraines or feel wear out. Teaching kids can be difficult, because sometimes they don't listen and you can't actually hit them or anything like that, you need patience. I would recommend this placement to any one who likes children and likes helping them out. I think it would be a good experience and it some how uses full. It can be a trying job, depending on what school you get into and what class you help. But it is a good placement. Good luck to anyone who wants a placement in the future!

On the 25th of December 2014, in Taupo, I had volunteered to work at a homeless shelter. While I was there I had got told the procedures on what I was going to do on the job. My duties while working there was, cleaning, cooking, and serving. The idea of the homeless shelter is to meet, feed, and welcome other people that are less fortunate than us on Christmas.

Education and Experience offers Dewey’s thoughts about traditional and progressive education and the importance of a theory of experience. The two principles underlying experience are continuity and interaction. By considering these two ideas and their relationship to each other, we can try to understand experience. What is an educative experience as opposed to a non-educative experience? What do continuity and interaction suggest about growth, intelligence, and purpose?
The main student-centered learning environment I was placed in was a science lab dominated by marine science. There were many precautions used in the lab with goggles, student pairing, and lab procedures. The lab was organized so it is centered toward the teacher so when instruction and labs are taking place there is full attention on the teacher. All assignments are organized and labeled in the back for an efficient way to turn in work. The inclusion efforts placed into the class I observed way that they were all magnet students, so it allowed the teacher to perform critical thinking tasks and projects that were advanced. An example of this would be the dissection the students do yearly when they are a magnet student. In the environment collaboration, there was an instance between the teacher inside the department and with the students. The departmental teachers helped the teacher I observed perform the dissection because he couldn’t handle the chemicals being used. They helped solved the problem by switching the classes so my teacher could teach the other departmental teachers students while she was with his students to do the dissection. Collaboration took place with the students where they were asked what they should put into place that interested them such as; activities, field trips, and projects. This provides the students with knowledge they are learning that is fun and exciting while they are still in a learning environment.

Once of the greatest satisfactions that I have found with my personal andonofessional experience is being able to serve a diverse population. My entire life, I have surrounded myself in diversity. Whether it was in the church, friends, work or my opportunity to travel internationally. By surrounding myself with diversity, I have been able to grow and learn various life sessions. Diversity is not represented in just ethnicity. Diversity comes in various individuals and communities. I have been able to be surrounded by various individuals and communities of the following: ethnicities, people with different upbringing than mine, socioeconomic class, gender, professional status, educational status, regions, physical and mental abilities.
And after high school, I would join special operations in the united states marine corps. I would go to college for criminal justice and become an FBI swat team leader. But later I decided and knew by heart that I wanted more than just an average house. I wanted a really big mansion and the whole point of a job is to earn money and being an FBI swat team leader would not pay me enough to live a super luxurious life that I wanted. Even being a sergeant in the medical field would not pay me the money I actually wanted. So I decided to become an entrepreneur and make a multi-million dollar company no matter how long it takes. And that is when I got on the path to becoming a
The Value of Work Experience A summer or part-time job pays more than money. Even though the money earned is important, the work experience gained has a greater long-term value when one applies for a full-time job after graduation from school. Job application documents (the application blank and the personal data sheet) ask you to list jobs you have held and to list as references the names of individuals who supervised your work. My last seven and a half months have consisted carrying out the work placement element of my college curriculum in Fexco offices in Killorglin. I felt as though every day was a learning experience and a chance to develop a further understanding of what the working world consists of. I was allowed to experience different roles within the finance department in an attempt for me to discover which one I enjoyed to most. Prior to my work experience I was very unsure
