In India the set as been traditionally a male dominated society where women are perceived as home makers and always to depend on men in the family throughout their life and little to do with economy. But this thinking is being changing in modern era. As women are receiving education, they tend to have better living and are also becoming economically independent in India.
Presence of women in business show their ability and skill in managing their house as well as their business and also contributing to the growth and development of the economy. This study indicates the boundaries within which the project has undertaken. This study titled ‘Religion and Women Entrepreneurship: A study in Dakshina Kannada, is based on information collected from the women entrepreneurs in Dakshina Kannada. The relevant data will be collected with the help of a questionnaire filled in by the women entrepreneurs and through personal interview within the boundaries of Dakshina Kannada.
