Winning the lottery can lead to exciting times. Waking Ned Devine shows charisma and excitement in a completely new way. This movie is considered an upright on review outlines. It starts out in a small village where two best friends try to find who has won the lottery. Once they found out that the man who once the lottery died while in shock, the two Buddies set out to claim the dead man’s reward. They soon get the whole village to commit fraud so each person gets a cut in the treasury. However, not everyone is accepting of splitting the money equally. This movie illustrates excitement in a completely new way, because it shows that even if you are older you can still have an adventure. It really shows charisma with two old men trying to take the lottery home. However, this is an old humor comedy. One scene where one of the old men reveal himself naked while riding a motorcycle. This viewed as either disturbing or cleverly humors to viewers. You never know which way this entertainment will go. Common Sense Media wrote, “Others who enjoy wicked jokes to find this movie delightful” (Minow). They also rated it four out five stars for its humor delight.
Comedy shows an aspect of the entertainment ability in the genre. The old quirky village being able to work together shows how funny and determined they are to get the money. The scene where the lottery giver shows up at the funeral in, with the man who won the lottery. The way the town goes along to Ian fake claim of David’s death. This gave a suspenseful and comedic ride that kept the viewers engaged.
Secondly, the plot is the main motion of this movie. It is charismatic and charm of an old village reaching for the gold. Nevertheless, what movie would be complete without a villain? Tales of an Irish town have really brought out its culture through music. The music sets the scene and mood of this movie. It makes you want to go visit an old Irish town with its homey persona.
