Windows 2000 Professional Summary
In this first part of class we covered the entire Windows 2000 Professional operating system. We covered everything that you would need to know to install, use and administer Windows 2000 Professional. All of the labs we did helped us further understand the Windows 2000 operating system. We did everything from installing Windows to encrypting files. I liked the labs where we had to set up user profiles and permissions. Philip was my partner for any labs that required a partner. The labs made for very good hands on experience with Windows 2000 and really helped me to know and understand the operating system much better.
Lab1: Installing Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
The topic of lab one was to install Windows 2000 Professional. Once the jumper settings on the hard drive were set to cable select Windows could be installed. Before Windows was installed the hard drive had to be partitioned. Windows was then installed from a CD. The Windows 2000 Professional install is pretty easy. Setup gives you the option to create and format a partition, therefore eliminating the need to use fdisk. Going through Setup and all of the different options is also fairly easy. After Windows was installed it had to become part of a domain. I logged on as Administrator and added Administrative Tools to the Programs menu. After that I joined my computer to the Corp2.Corp.com domain. After that was complete I could then log on to the domain. At the end of lab one Windows 2000 Professional was installed and the computer was part of the domain.
Lab 2: Creating a Customized Console with Microsoft Management Console
The topic of lab two was to start using and get familiar with using Microsoft MMC. The first exercise was to create a custom console. First, mmc needed to be opened. From there I added the Removable Storage Management snap-in on my local computer and saved it. Next, I added the same snap-in on my partners’ computer. By adding this snap-in you can perform remote administration to a networked computer, rather than being in front of the computer. The lab had us test the consoles we created. I checked the removable storage device on my computer locally and my partners’ computer remotely.
Not long ago computers were non-existent in many homes. When computers were first introduced to the world, they were for the sole purpose of performing business functions. The only people who owned computers were large organizations. Eventually, computers were introduced into the homes of those who could afford to buy them. Today, just about everyone owns some form of system that they use daily to help manage their day-to-day operations. What many once survived without now seems impossible to do without. As technology continues to grow, it has a greater effect on families and the education system. Some companies such as Microsoft and Apple made it possible to reinvent a new form of technology that would change the world. Each company had some form of struggle and overtime had to keep up with the changes of time and the way people communicated. From the first day of its invention, organizations have had to steadily implement new operating systems to keep up with the demands of the people while staying afloat with competitors. The ways of life for many have changed as well as the way people communicate. It is evident that the history and uses of computers have changed the world but these computers could not perform without the operating systems. Various operating systems will be discussed, how they began and how they each changed since they were first introduced. Although, they all had a purpose each varied in how they performed and changed the lives of many and will continue in the near future.

Moving to the post World War II era, the evangelical coalition began to appeal to the older generations, to the Hollywood population, and to leaders in Washington D.C. Soon after the war, the religious conflicts that infected fundamentalism in the 1920’s were no longer relevant. Protestantism, in its mainline form, had become much more evangelical in its’ nature and its’ sects became much more interested in becoming recognized publicly. Many historians agree that, “what has not often been recognized, however, is that one of the most important driving forces behind the postwar resurgence of religion was a cadre o...
As the internet is becoming faster and faster, an operating system (OS) is needed to manage the data in computers. An Operating system can be considered to be a set of programed codes that are created to control hardware such as computers. In 1985 Windows was established as an operating system and a year earlier Mac OS was established, and they have dominated the market of the computer programs since that time. Although, many companies have provided other operating systems, most users still prefer Mac as the most secured system and windows as it provides more multiple functions. This essay will demonstrate the differences between windows
The after effects of Evangelicalism have moved in other directions. Because the Evangelicals were, from the outset, intent on expanding church membership, they managed to define the daily religious life of the United States in a way that no other movement had done before, or has done since. Ever since the Second Great Awakening, the power of Evangelicalism has derived from its practical character -- its ability to distribute its message, to help guide the religious lives of its adherents, to organize its members into cohesive groups. Modern Evangelical preachers follow in their predecessors footsteps by continuing to spread the word of God -- although now they have moved beyond rural camp meetings to take advantage of the power of television.
...than their current supplier. By decreasing their lead times, they would not have to buy materials for orders as far into the future as they do right now. While improving their forecasting process is extremely important, shortening lead times would lessen the extent of excess inventory. For instance, imagine that every month your forecasting is incorrect by two ambulances. With a lead time of six months for aluminum, you would order 12 ambulances worth of extra aluminum that would sit in excess inventory for that period of time. However, if you can shorten that lead time to four months, you only have 8 ambulances worth of surplus aluminum. This example does not take into account an improvement in forecasting. If both forecasting and the materials supply chain could be controlled better, Wheeled Coach has the potential to lower its spare inventory significantly.
Choosing which motherboard to use is important. It also is closely related to what processor is chosen. Because of cost saving factors, the AMD Athlon processor is the best choice. Therefore we can only provide a motherboard compatible with the AMD AthlonXP 1900. For our client, we decided on the motherboard Aopen K77-333. This motherboard is an excellent choice for our client because:
A desktop computer consists of a computer system unit, a keyboard, a mouse, and a monitor. These are also input devices which are the devices used to input data in the computer or used to provide data and control signals to an information processing system. The computer system unit is the enclosure for all the other main interior components of a computer. The primary function of the computer system unit is to hold all the other components together and protect the sensitive electronic parts from the outside elements.
What are the three or four most important drivers of Microsoft’s business model over the past 10 to 15 years that have accounted for the company’s spectacular results?
In the end, this class has really opened my eyes to everything that is out there to supplement my teaching and my students learning. I am extremely happy that this class did not teach me how to use Microsoft Office , but I do wish that we could have had the opportunity to work more with the material rather than merely reading about the material. The Multimodal Task definitely allowed us to configure a lesson using and working with technology, but if we had more time, I wish we could have done more than one task to accomplish such goals.
There are eleven basic types of engineering each with their own subcategories that the careers specialize in. The one that interests me the most, mechanical engineering, utilizes multiple categories of engineering but mostly focuses on moving parts. Because mechanical engineering uses more concepts of the other sub-categories of engineering than any other, it is a very flexible career that no employers can go without (Constant). This article is all about engineering and gives a decent overview of most of its branches and fundamentals.

In simple terms, it's just a storage located remotely which you can access anywhere. It's like storing your files online and accessing it anywhere while using your laptop, mobile device or another PC.
Engineering is a good fit for me because it involves lots of math and problem solving which are two of my favorite things to do. Also I am good at working with my hands and with other people. Mechanical engineering requires a good understanding of math and science
