Many of states believe they cannot handle the transition from a privately run insurance system to one that is done by the government, but it is one decision by the government that will save the states millions of dollars. Even though The United States is one of the few counties left that does not have a universal health care system, it definitely needs to be mandated so that we the people can save money as well as the government. Although, Obama Care should not be enforced, the government should mandate a universal health care system because it will give the people an affordable insurance, it helps turn an individualism economy in to a community economy, and it help with the people’s fiscal problems. Obama Care also has some faults believe it or not; this is that the Act that could increase health care costs over the short term when it starts. That's because many people will receive preventive care for the first time in their lives.
I believe that with a national health care system, similar to the one in Canada and some European nations, this destruction of life and happiness will be decreased. The problem with Medicare is that it is not efficient and is in serious financial problems. One huge concern stated in the USA Today?s article, ?Congress refuses to swallow cures for ailing Medicare, is that the baby boomer generation is about to become eligible for Medicare, and there is currently barely enough money to cover the current population of beneficiaries. Medicare is not the only problem with the American health care system. Increasing amounts of uninsured people, increasing prescription drug costs, increasing amounts of prescription drugs per individual, and the trend toward more expensive drugs are some of the other factors troubling the current health care system (Hansen 2).
It takes away our right to make our own decision on whether we want health insurance or not. It raises the price for health care to something that is harder to afford. It does not meet the promises that were given before it was passed into law. The United States federal government already has programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security which are having financial problems. Why add another one when the government has already proven that they are not good runny these type of programs?
“As states are forced to redirect a growing portion of their budgets to Medicaid, less funding will be available for other state priorities, such as education.”(Senger) Some people that are going to a college could be having problems because with Obama Care it is making colleges more expensive and where you have to pay more money. Most people have a problem with it because Obama is making us have health care. Obama is also taking away our human rights that we have as a citizen.Obama is also making us get his preferred insurance which is what takes away our rights.. It also takes away money for people like landlords. I believe that Obama Care is not helping our community, because it is making some people have less money.
Many people are asking the question: is Obamacare the new health care system our country deserves or is it going to lead Americans into another economic downfall? For year’s government officials have been striving for better-cheaper healthcare and president Obama was positive that he accomplished this goal. Recent complaints however, have shown that until Obama “prioritizes better care over more care, our nation will continue to face a problem with health-care” (Daschle). Not only do Americans deserve a better healthcare system, they need it. Since the start of this new healthcare policy peoples policy prices have fluctuated and some have even lost their policy altogether.
Rising the cost of health care would effect the nation in variety ways, but it would be more punishment if it was controlled by individuals . To increase the health care cost means less money in patient's pocket and it shouldn't be measured by the sickness of the patients . The government overhauls before increasing the rate of health care costs and it protects the interest of the citizen. It's clear that the insurance companies doesn't want the federal to be involved with the health care issue, because of the potential for new competition that it will bring. The government should have intervention and be involved in health care increasing cost, because we have reached in a point where everyone is needed to have health care , it is a humane thing to do.
Obamacare has been a bad outcome to America’s new health care systems because paying large taxes and payments for needed health care is a more overwhelming problem to the lives of people with little money. We need affordable health care, not a way of taking peoples’ money from their pockets along with putting our lives in danger of losing what we own and care about. “Obamacare also known as “The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” was made federal law on March 23, 2010, 2 years after the election of President Barack Obama”. (Kaiser Permanente) “It initiated the most significant changes in the U.S. healthcare system since the establishment of Medicare in 1965”. (Kaiser Permanente) “It has so far been a complicated issue with many moving parts and functions mainly designed to provide health insurance for a cheaper price cove... ... middle of paper ... ...consumes everyone’s money and doesn't help you with keeping up with your plans, the Affordable Care Act has been causing crisis in the U.S. with the economy, unemployment rates, and the destruction of long running businesses, I think that Obamacare is a joke and an enemy rather than a friend.
What does the future hold? Only the future knows. The United States spends vast amounts on its healthcare, while falling short of achieving superiority over other developed nations. One cannot overlook that the deepening recession has left many without jobs and therefore lacking health insurance. According to Fairhall and Steadman, (2009), even though the recession is hard on all, it is worse on the uninsured due to health care and insurance cost rising faster than incomes.
I believe that with a national health care system, similar to the one in Canada and some European nations, this recession will be decease. The problem with Medicare is that it is not efficient and it’s in serious financial problems. Medicare is not the only problem in American health care system. The Increasing amounts of uninsured people, prescription drug costs, amounts of prescription drugs per individual, and having to turn down uninsured patients are all problems dealing with this health care system. There have been many attempts to move towards a universal health care policy in the United States.
