Diwali is the festival of light in the Hinduism religion. People celebrate Diwali for different reasons. Yet, Diwali is still celebrated for different reasons. Some people celebrate it for the return of Load Ram. People also celebrate it for the return of the Pandavas who came back 12 years after. Other will celebrate Diwali because of Krishna killed Nakasura (an evil demon). Why is Diwali so important that lots of people celebrated it? First of all, what is Diwali and why is it important. Then, why do people light candle on Diwali. Lastly, Diwali is important because of the return of the Pandavas.
The movie, Hanuman by V.G Samant is an animated movie, which talks about the god Hanuman and Hindu’s religion called Diwali. The characters in this movie are Hanuman, Load Ram, Ma Sita, and Vishnu. Hanuman is one of the gods that fall under Vishnu’s group. Load Ram and Ma Sita are gods that fall under Vishnu’s group as well. Vishnu is one of the divine for Hinduism. It talks about how the divine, Vishnu, takes Hanuman to visit Load Ram when he was younger. After staying with Load Ram, Ram let Hanuman go and he knew that Hanuman and he will meet again. After, Hanuman meets Load Ram again in the forest finding Sita. Hanuman took Ram to a king that helped find Ma Sita. After a few days, they found out that she is an island, where a demon, Ravana, kept her. Ma Sita says to Hanuman that, “I will wait here until my husband come and get me.” (V.G Samant) When Ma Sita said that he gave that message to Load Ram, which he started to prepared his army. This is showing that Hanuman is one of the Gods that help Load Ram defeat Ravana and save Sita.

Moreover there is a New Year day which the next day of ‘DIWALI” the festival of lights. Indians also have an independence day that falls on August, 15 similar to American Independence day that is on July, 4. Also both these though being among the largest democracies of the world had housed various cultures, given home to different types of people but still maintained unity in diversity.

The multiple Hindu sects, including the Krishna Consciousness, have been particularly successful among young American and Europeans and claims to be adherent around the world. Hinduism is dissimilar compared to other religions, in the fact that it has no founders. This religion is considered to be permissive in creed or code as it is not necessarily coordinated in any way, even though various sects and cults are formulated. This religion is especially known for its tolerance because it is willing to accommodate those who are exceptionally religious; whether it be a Jew, Christian, or Muslim as a part of their religion. The Celts took part in many religious festivals that included Imbolc, Beltaine, Lugansa, and Samhain. The Imbolc festival celebrated fertility and growth. . This celebration was held in February. The Beltaine, held in May, was associated with the fertility of cattle and crops, which honored the Druids. During the Beltaine, the Celtic tribes drove herds between bonfires to purify and protect themselves against the evil spirits. The third festival that the Celts took part in is known as the Lugansa. Lugansa honored the gods and the harvest. The Lugansa also known as the harvest festival, celebrated from mid July to mid August. (Pierce Online) Lastly, the Samhain is the start of the New Year. The Samhain in the present day is known as Halloween. “During this celebration the division between this world and the other world dissolved and the spirits roamed the earth” (Pierce Online).
