Phones in school. This has been a topic of debate for a long time, but having a phone in school is not a good idea. Having a phone in school, and in class, can be harmful to a student because students could not pay attention in class due to constant texting and calling, students could cheat on test by searching up the answers, and students could become socially awkward if students use their teachers to text answers. One of the many reasons phones should not be allowed in school is because it is a distraction to students and teachers alike. Phones can be a distraction to students because students because if their phone is in the student's pocket and the phone goes off, the student will lose focus from the subject that the teacher is teaching. Students could use their phones on tests and quizzes because they could search up the answers online with their phones. Students could also use a calculator on their phones for searching up math answers. Some of the kids began to learn sign language, just for fun. The teacher thought it was good that they were doing something new and different-until he found out that they were using sign language to cheat on tests. If kids can find a way to cheat on tests, they will.
