Michelangelo was born in Caprese, Italy on March 6th 1475. His family was politically prominent as his family had large land property. His father was a banker and was looking to his son to engage in his businesses. As a young boy, he has ambitions of becoming a sculptor, but his father was very discouraging of this. He wanted his son to live up to the family name and take up his father’s businesses. Michelangelo became friends with Francesco Granacci, who introduced him to Domenico Ghirlandio(biography.com). Michelangelo and his father got into a series of arguments until eventually they arranged for him to study under Ghirlandaio at the age of thirteen. Leonardo da Vinci was a man of art, science and innovation during the Renaissance Era. Although many of Leonardo’s paintings were unfinished or lost, we could see his influence in perspective, light and shadows, and primary colors in his paintings. To paint more realistic paintings, he first learned as an apprentice to Andrea del Verrocchio, a leading Florentine painter and sculptor. After 6 years he became an independent master and developed his own style of painting.
Many people today don’t stop to think about some of the basic city infrastructure we have in place today and where it originated. In more developed regions of the world, people are accustomed to running water, sewage systems, trash sites and other basic necessities required for comfortable, disease free living. In the late fourteenth century Milan was ravaged by the plague and almost one third of the city’s population was killed. During this time most of what’s considered a basic necessity for a well-built, disease free city was unheard of. Leonardo believed that the spread of the plague was due to the cramped design of the city. He began to design a city to prevent the future spread of such diseases.

The fall of Rome started in 476 C.E Romulus the last of the Roman emperors in the which was overthrown by the Germanic leader Odoacer who became one of the first Barbarian rulers of Rome. The order of the Roman Empire had brought to western Europe for 1000 years was no more. But if the Romans kept Rome pure with just there their people, I believe that the fall of Rome wouldn't of ended the way it did.
Michelangelo was an Italian-born artist in 1488. Not too long after his birth, he was apprenticed to Ghirlandaio for three years, where Michelangelo learned elements of fresco technique and produced replicas of past Florentine masters. By the age of 16, Michelangelo was already producing his own style of art that were shown in his two relief sculptures. The following years after the death of Lorenzo de’ Medici in 1492, Michelangelo traveled and created more artwork. Some of the artworks produced were a wooden crucifix for the high altar for the Hospital of Sto Spirito, and marble statuettes for the Arca di San Domenico.

When Leonardo was a one year old his mother left him with his father for some other man. His father wanted him to be successful, so at the age of fourteen his father sent him to become an apprentice of a famous artist in Florence, Italy called Andrea Del Verrocchio (Macdonald 5). His apprenticeship lasted twelve years (Kalz 23), in which time Verrocchio inspired and encouraged Leonardo to be a free-thinker (Reed 28). In 1482, at the age of thirty, Leonardo moved to Milan and gained favor of the duke of Milan, Ludovico Sforza due to his singing voice and talent on the flute (Kalz 23). Leonardo was born April 15, 1452 he was the son of Ser Piero and Caterina. Leonardo's father was a landlord, and his mother was a peasant and they both were not married at the time. Leonardo lived with his father and had an education. Later on his father moved the family to Florence( Heydenreich). At the age of 15 Leonardo was showing that he was a great painter. In 1467 he became an apprentist to Andrea Del Verrochio a very well known artist during that time period.
