Why I Want to be a Teacher
School is a major part of our young lives. It is where we spend the majority of our time as youngsters. Children begin to develop relationships with people who have not been apart of their infancy. For someone who does not enjoy school, this could put a damper on their relationships with others as well as their learning achievements in life. This is why I want to become a teacher. I want to develop a learning atmosphere where children feel joy and security.
I believe that enjoying and feeling that one belongs is an important part of education. Yes, I used the word that makes some people shiver when heard, education. Education is often viewed as an institution where children are forced to go by government. Even though education is for the child’s own benefit, it is not seen that way through the eyes of the child that dislikes school. Some parents have difficulty sending their children because they believe that their child should be allowed to play and be worry free. Children should be able to play for a little while before faced with the reality of life and responsibility. A good teacher proves that education is more than learning subjects and facts. Education is developing character, understanding how to handle life’s little obstacles, and learning how to communicate with peers and others who come into our lives. Learning needs to be provided in a way that the child does not realize that they are forced to attend. The child should contain a desire to go. While being entertained through games the child is unaware that they are learning such skills as sharing, taking turns, and criteria crucial for future learning. I feel that it takes a special person to teach and realize t...

...ned and where their lecture left off was an impressionable role model to me. I knew this teacher cared whether we learned because they had put time into their lessons. I knew this teacher was not going to lose the paper I worked on all week. My classmates and co-workers have made fun of my organizational skills, but I am proud to say I learned organizational skills in school and it has helped me everyday of my life.
I want to be a teacher because education is an important step in life. Teachers are the people who represent role models for young America. They help society maintain order and continue development. Teachers have the opportunity to change and influence a life. To make a difference they can look back on. As I further my education, I see the importance of a well-organized classroom and teacher. This is the backbone of a successful classroom.
Elementary School teacher, a professional educator for grades k-5, is a career I wish to pursue because I want to teach children the building blocks of education, love the energy and excitement that younger children give off, and want to be able to help children with special challenges. I have wanted to be an elementary school teacher for about three years now, I knew I wanted to pursue this occupation because there are many benefits to being an educator, and have always worked with children well. Some challenges are I will have to get a bachelor 's degree and have to complete a state licensing exam (“preparation 1”)
School is something we all know and understand. Regardless of whether we wanted it or not, we have all passed through school. School is, first and foremost, a place designed for people to go and learn. It is a place to better yourself, to learn facts, discipline, to learn social and economic skills. But for all that school is intended for, people go for different reasons. Some are hardworking and academically minded, they go to learn, to set a good foundation for their future, with an aim of becoming successful and accomplished in their career. Others are carefree, going for the social side, to be popular, have lots of friends, and in the end just to have a good time. For others it can even be a place of safety, a place where they can get
Why do you want to become a tutor? Tutoring is a wonderful way of teaching and learning. First, I feel happy when I can help students. Some students take more time to learn, and they may not be able to catch up with understanding all the concept they need to graduate from the class. I can help them because I understand how the computer system works and how are they programmed.
There are many reasons people decide to enter the teaching field. Some enter because they enjoy working with people or children, others because they like being off during the summer months, and still others because of their love for a particular subject. Although all these reasons are valid, I feel my reasons are much simpler. The bottom line is that I love kids and enjoy working with them. My desire to make learning a more positive experience for them has only increased with time.
I really enjoy being in an artistic setting, and helping others one on one. I’d like to use these traits in a career that enables me to use my skills and knowledge, while seeking employment which offers opportunities for growth. As an Art Teacher, I can incorporate what I enjoy doing most with teaching. This paper will explore the job description, requirements, and salary expectations for a High School Art Teacher.
I am a hard-working, confident and conscientious and have a keen desire to be a primary school teacher. The main reason I want to pursue this vocation is because I love the prospect of working with children, being such an important part of a child’s life is a real honour. I have been fascinated at how quickly they learn things, gaining an insight into their perceptions and how they see the world, the idea of playing an active role in helping them develop, greatly appeals me. Having a long term goal of working with children, I believe I am particularly suited to a degree in Primary/Physical education. I gain huge satisfaction from being able to help them learn and discover new things about the world. Nurturing a child’s development is an occupation that offers huge satisfaction, both intellectual and emotional. My ambition is to be in charge of a classroom, to introduce ideas and skills to the class and observe and feel their response. The teacher’s skills of good communication, patience, clarity and the ability to explain the world are very demanding of one’s intelligence and one’s p...
Now that I have told you what has led me to this decision I would like to tell you exactly why I have chosen to become a teacher. I want to become a teacher not because of the salary nor because I want weekends and holidays off; rather, I want to become a teacher because I truly have a passion for making a difference in others lives. I feel that teaching is perhaps one of the most fulfilling roles in life. Becoming a teacher to me means helping to shape another person by teaching and instructing them.
Being a teacher is a noble cause, though it also seems to be the dream of idiots and morons. It is a job where you work constantly and are always told what to teach. You are expected to teach to a standardized test. It is a job path that only the bravest take. The people who claim that those who can’t do teach, know nothing about teaching or how hard it is to teach. Especially high school students who have no desire to learn. Children in their last required chapter in their education. Their young pubescent minds focused more on the opposite sex over their grades. How do you teach such a difficult age group? How do you keep them engaged? Especially with a subject that so many find boring and tedious, English and English literature.
The education system is probably the most utilized system on this planet. Most humans have passed through a type of school whether they wanted too or not. School is primarily a place designed for people to attend and learn. It is a place to better yourself, to learn facts, discipline, to learn social and economic skills. Yet for all that school is intended for, different people go for various reasons. Some are hardworking and academically minded, going to study with an aim of setting a good foundation for their future and having a successful and accomplished career. Others are carefree and go for the social side, to be popular with lots of friends, and in the end just to have an enjoyable time. For many it can even be an area
For myself, teaching provides an opportunity of continual learning and growth. I believe each and every child has the potential to provide new ideas into the world. Therefore, I will like to be a teacher that can be adaptable, motivate the students to succeed, and to have the enthusiasm and ability to teach math in a simple and easy
When I was younger if you asked me what I want to be when I grow up becoming a teacher was the last thing on my list because I hated school and wasting my time learning things. I had a normal ghetto mindset that school wasn’t for me and I didn’t need it to be successful until I went into the sixth grade. I had a teacher that really showed me interest in my learning to make me a better individuals and a grandmother who never let me give up. From that year forwards but a few years later my grandmother past which was devastating me to the core just all of the lessons and the motivation for a time was drained right out me. Then on day my mother asked me “how would mama look at the way you’re going in life”. At that moment I told myself that I’m going to be better than everyone before me and lay the foundation of my education in my family. There was many less my grandmother instilled in me but the most important was her love for the intercity youth seeing the joy that she gained from showing the children love an teaching them she always said that all children can learn but only a special ...
Children are our future and it is up to us as educators to point them in the right direction. I always enjoyed school and found it fun and exciting. As I got older, I only remember the teacher's that made a difference in my life. I want to the teacher that makes a difference in a child's life. Whether it be as simple as a teacher, or advanced as a father-figure, I will be their for the children.
At the beginning of one’s journey of gaining more knowledge, most children don’t mind school, for it is a change of environment for them. The majority of elementary school adolescents even enjoy school to some degree. As time wears on, we usually, and sadly, begin to see a change of heart. Children become fatigued from school and therefore don’t take pleasure in going anymore. Maybe their teachers didn’t teach them in the way that they learn most efficiently, or maybe students just become bored with the whole “school scene” itself. Whatever the case, it is apparent that by the time they reach high school, their interest for learning alone has died out.
When I think of becoming a teacher I would like to imagine or hope that I would be “turning the key” for a student of mine to become something great. I have been soul searching for many years now to have a better understanding of what I am suppose to do in my life. I have worked in so many jobs in so many areas but nothing was fulfilling my life with any amount of meaning. I found myself not wanting to go back the next day or wishing I were somewhere else. Well I guess everyone does that is what I would tell myself.
With having answered the questions of why I want to become a teacher, who or what influenced me, what I hoped to accomplish as a teacher, and what will be my legacy, I feel more prepared and have a better understanding of why teaching is for me. Even though some of the answers to these questions will change, I know for a fact that the one answer will remain the same. That answer is that I want to become a teacher because not only do I love kids and this is something I can see myself doing the rest of my life, but because I want to make a difference in my students
