High school has been a journey, it has built a foundation for my future. Through the sleepless nights and early mornings, I have had an opportunity to mature and step out of my comfort zone. The demand of going to school, having a job, involving myself in my community and being in a sport has all worked out for my benefit. Now the time has come to step out into the real world. A young female, raised in Elizabeth with a vast number of dreams. What makes me different? From playing with the toy medical kit from Dollar tree to volunteering at Trinitas Regional Hospital, I have always had a passion for being and working in a medical environment. I aspire to go to college to become a Physician’s Assistant. In the future I hope to attend medical school to become a Pediatrician. It will be my dream to open up my own practice and continue to do what I love, being helping others. …show more content…

My final decision will be based on which ever school provides me with the most financial aid. This scholarship will make the chances of me being able to attend college greater. I will be the first from my family that will be attending college. My parents came from the Dominican Republic in efforts to give my brothers and me a better life. With the little that they have, they have supported us and helped us have more opportunities than what is available in the Dominican Republic. Receiving this scholarship will be a blessing. If there is anything stopping me from attending college, it would be the fact that I can’t afford to pay tuition. My father, being my only financial support, barely makes enough for the financial needs in our house. College is expensive and my only hope would be to receive as much financial aid as I can
