First and foremost, the main thing I will need to do in order to reach my five and ten year goals is to never lose focus. I have to always keep my eyes on the prize and let that drive my everyday actions. Every day I will need to take the necessary steps in order to make progress towards accomplishing those goals. If I stay focused and motivated, the results will be bound to come.
Being a business management major at San Jose State University is giving me the knowledge and tools to be able to run my own business someday in the near future. Not only has this major allowed me to grasp that knowledge that will allow me to start up a business, but it also has given me the tools to make sure that the company is able to grow and expand. I have already found a few good ones in the Bay Area. Attending an audio engineering school will allow me to learn the ins and outs of musical production and engineering. Going to school is not necessary for this position but it will definitely help tremendously. There are a lot of producers who simply learned how to make music on their own or with the help of their colleagues. I feel that going to school will be better for me than learning on my own because it will help me learn faster, put me around like minded people who share the same goals, and also will allow me to be in a learning environment. Having a degree that shows I am proficient in audio engineering will also make it a lot easier for me to find a job in the music industry starting out. Once I have finished with school, I will be able to get the job listed in my five-year plan. I will then work there for a few years or however long it takes for me to save up enough money to branch off and start my own business with my brother.
Overall, education and networking will be two key factors on whether or not I will be able to accomplish this goal in five and ten years. My professional background includes three summers working at a credit union, and the time I have spent job shadowing, both of which are valuable. They will help me by giving me a starting point to build my professional career. Work experience is valuable because it allows me to see how things work with jobs in the “real world” and prepare me for my future after graduation. The job shadows I have done will help me decide what exactly I would like to do upon my graduation. I hope all of my ideas point you towards the same conclusion I have made: I would make a great pharmacist someday and pursuing this degree is a major step in getting there.
There were a number of enterprising careers, but the one that interested me the most was business management. I decided to choose the business management because I am majoring in Sustainability and my focus is in Economics. I think business management would be an excellent fit for myself because I have actually done some research prior to this class about management. I would like to someday own an ice rink, and I think that becoming a manager would be a great stepping-stone towards reaching my goal. The requirements for becoming a business manager vary from university to university, but the overall direction of the major revolves around taking 60 credit hours of business courses such as economics, finance, and marketing.
Working in the Early Childhood Development, I got to know a three year old boy named, Cole. He had a stuttering disorder. I could see it in his face, he would get embarrassed and frustrated whenever he could not get a full sentence out. I wanted to help him but I was not sure how, all I could think of is for him to start reading out loud and reading slowly. Which is why I want to become a speech pathologist. The speech pathology field is a career where one can work at numerous places. It is also a good paying job, depending on where I will live, and what location I will work. Being able to help others with their disorders and the rewarding feeling of seeing them improve is the reason why I have chosen to pursue my career as a speech pathologist. I will be furthering my education at Germanna Community College with the intent of transferring to a four-year university or college.
There a few things that one needs to consider before choosing to pursue a career in audio engineering. A recording engineer often has to work long, irregular hours. An engineer must also be able to work well under extreme pressure. It also helps if the engineer has a good musical ear, as well as an appreciation of music. Naturally, it helps to be fairly adept technically and electronically. If you feel like this is you, and you can handle working for a long time without reward (hopefully not too long), then a career in audio engineering could be for you.
The college I would want to go to for this would be The Art Institute of chicago. They have a really good audio production and music production program and prepare for the world of music. I want to be a music producer/music artist because that’s all I love to do is make music. Music is the one thing I can use to express myself and vent my emotions.
To attain the goal to become a record producer I have to be dedicated of creating music. Also I have to take time of my friends and family in order to become a successful producer and a music junkie. Than I have to know the in & outs of the music industry and know how to create artistic rhythm. I have to make sure that I have enough connection to have good collaboration to work. At the for most I have be work extra hard just to get where I have to be in the music industry (at the top if I’m lucky).

In addition if you are a studio manager and want to own a recording studio you will need to have some type of financial background.
