After college, you’re going to graduate school and then on to starting the beginning of the rest of your life. Having a set mind on what you want to do during college and even after college is extremely important. My dream is to become a psychologist, it may not have been what I always wanted to pursue but accomplishing this dream will be the beginning to a perfect life. Working on my friends personal issues throughout high school gave me this sensation that made me feel as if this is what i need to be pursuing. Helping to fix people’s personal problems makes me feel as if i'm doing something right in my life. I get a very enduring feeling knowing that I am more than capable of practicing this profession. You are not always going to have things handed to you, you must go out and take charge of your life before you run out of options. I find myself thinking everyday that maybe my life won’t turn out to be how i expect it to be. Pursuing my career as a therapist and studying psychology is what I want to accomplish. The average therapist makes approximately $74,970 a year. Knowing that I will be getting paid while doing what I love makes going to college so much easier.
There are many psychologist that describes their job as gratifying and fulfilling. “According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook published by the U.S. Department of Labor, one in three psychologists are self-employed. If you operate your own therapy practice, you can basically set your own hours.
