They come in contact with the residents more than anyone else; they are the prime care givers. They are always under the supervision of licensed practical, licensed vocational and registered nurses, known as LPN/LVN or RN. The residents/patients that they deal with need long term care, like nursing homes and caring for them at their home. Since they are long term, staying with a faculty up to several months and even years, many CNA’s create a bond and close relationship with them. The main thing they do for them is produce basic care for them or known to them as activates of daily living or ADL. Working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) one holds the reasonability of other lives in their arms. The best area with the highest salary for nurse practitioners is in the Metropolitan area, which receives more than $100,000 a year. However, nurse practitioners and family nurse practitioners make an average of $98,190 a year, but it can vary widely depending on a variety of factors” (“Salaries” 1). Then, if one wants to specialize in a nurse practitioner career they make a reasonable amount more. For example, a Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) makes an average annual salary of $157,140 (1). Both my current job and are dream jobs are in the medical field they are very similar yet different. For example, my job now is a certified nursing assistant and my dream job is to become a registered nurse. Both jobs consist of taking guardianship of people providing hands-on work, comfort care, and compassion. My dream is to further my career from a nurse assistant and become a nurse that does more for people in the world.
