Why I Deserve A Scholarship Essay

I believe there are countless motives for why I should receive a scholarship from ACC and how it would benefit me the greatest. Some of the key reasons comprise of my persistency and determination to make a difference in my community, my expectations in obtaining a higher education, and how it will not only help me achieve my lifetime goals, but also how it will make my vision come true. Being a first generation child to attend college has provided me with various obstacles to overcome in a new territory that I am unfamiliar in. However, I have repeatedly taken the hard path with the bumpy roads and the sharp turns in order to make sure that my dreams will come true and that I will succeed. However, I feel as if I have hit a steel wall when it comes down to the final issue: money. The issue of money has evolved into an even superior obstacle that will inevitably prevent me from achieving my goals, and I ultimately need outside help in order to overcome this obstacle and continue on my path to success.

In fact, I have persistently made it a priority to volunteer at my local Little League baseball organization and preschool in my community so that I could specifically encourage and inspire young individuals who will be the next leaders and inventors of America after my generation. I have also made it an effort to volunteer in an event whose aim is to restore and preserve my own community’s natural beauty. When trying to make a difference in my community I made it a purpose to volunteer in a local event that focused on the lives of people who were affected by cancer and created awareness. I believe that my hard work in my community substantiates my persistency and determination to better myself and be successful while inspiring
