First and foremost, I am very upset that the storm hit us, leading the loss of my grades. The grade I deserve is a 95. I deserve this grade because I feel as though I am a competent student. I try my best and pay attention to the teacher when he’s addressing the class, especially when he’s talking about projects and how to do them. I put in a good amount of effort, even though there’s room for improvement, and participate in volunteer work in the class.
The first point in my case of why I deserve a 95 is that I pay attention. When the teacher is addressing the class about something or talking about a project. I retain the information to the best of my ability and put it to use while working. By paying attention, I can use the information retained to help with the task at hand, making the projects good, to increase my grades.
My second point is my effort. I try my best in the class and in doing so, makes the outcome of my product great. If I didn’t put little to no effort, then my end result would be bad. My grades would be low as well. My effort affects my grades. Minimum effort results in low grades, maximum effort leads to high grades, which I strive for.
My final point is participation in the class. I volunteer when the teacher asks for volunteers. By volunteering, I get a better understanding and sometimes a hands-on

I tend to slack off sometimes and get off task. I start something, lose my train of thought/willingness to work and wait to the last minute. Usually when I wait to the last minute, my product is usually not made with the effort I should be putting in versus the effort I actually put in. Things that could be done to improve my weaknesses could be that I get through what I have to do and not get easily distracted. Also having a better approach towards the task and having the mentality to just get it done and not wait till the last
When I found out I qualified to be a candidate for the NJHS, I knew I had to take this chance. This group is made up of people who depict leadership, character, citizenship, academic success, and service and I would love to join. These characteristics wouldn't just be valuable for a candidate to have, but for everyone to have to exceed in life. If I were to be in the National Junior Honor Society, it would give me an opportunity to ameliorate my future and motivate me to do better.
The weakness I portray are very difficult for me to think of. I know that I have quite a few but to change them is something that I have not full conquered yet. A weakness I know I have is sentence structure. I am not very good at putting sentences together and making them strong and well developed. Another weakness that is obvious is word choice. I don't always know the exact wording to use in different parts of a paper, this makes it hard to understand sometimes not very well written.
Likewise, my weakness would be the tasks that I am ignoring, lack of confidence in doing certain tasks, motivation skills, and may be some negative habits. My opportunity may be to grow according to the implementation of the technology, offering a solution whenever there is any complaints and lastly the threats may be unable to move with the current trend and unable to handle the workforce. I have included motivation skills in strengths and weakness because if I have problems with my motivating skills then it may ruin the workplace environment and if I have good skills then it may be a reward to
First reason why I should obtain a 87 as a grade for Graphics Design class is because, I’m a inflexible worker, always make sure that my work is done flawlessly. Never rushed on a project or an assignment because, It would look unacceptable and unsightly. Honestly, one of my projects that was done in the past, was not that vast. But I went back into it on Photoshop, took my time on it, put detail and effort into it and achieved my goal to make it look prodigious.
What is the most important concept that you learned in this class? Write this for a reader who is unfamiliar with the concept.
Some of my weaknesses are procrastination and impatience, but I am taking proactive measures to resolve these issues. I have started putting reminders on my phone that helps me to remember when I need to start working. This will also help me keep my time spread out so that way if I get impatient with my computer or I can’t think of anything then I have time to take a break and think. Some of my strengths are my determination, my easy going nature and getting along with other people. (Even when no one else seems to get along with that person.) I also try to keep a positive attitude whenever times are getting stressful and it seems impossible to get what needs to be done accomplished.
of the teaching methods I am utilizing, as well as, how I am assessing the students is beneficial to not only all my students, but professionally as well.
Now, I know that my grade in this class could probably use some improvement and I am going to try my hardest to get my grade up. So the first thing that is going to happen is making sure that any work that I get from now on is turned in on time. By turning in the work on time I ensure that my grade will not be lowered because I turned in an assignment in late and got points taken away. Now say I missed a couple of days of school I can always ask the teacher for the work that I missed and do it at home, which if turned in will replace the zeros that were there previously. Something else that I can try is asking the teacher for help, teachers usually know what they teach so, by asking them for help it could help me increase my chances at score higher on any and all future assignments. Extra credit is another thing that I can do to increase my grade by a couple of points. Even though teachers only do this from time to time it is a great way to get a few extra points those points could easily improve my grade from a “C” to a “B”. It is not that hard to do especially when you put your mind to it, anything becomes possible.
From the first day until now, I have done every assignment ever given, never skipping one. I would work diligently as soon as I got home, to ensure I would be able to complete the task with as much attention and precision as I could give. I would do a new and creative Poetry Response Journal every four out of six weeks, and would never repeat, as I know some students did or would attempt to. I spent numerous hours reading every line of each book given; I would never go on a website to summarize the chapter we were supposed to have read. Every assignment I completed with my full attention and devotion to ensure I was doing as well as I could in that aspect. Overall, I did a good job, putting in my full effort with every book, project, and assignment given. My only regret is not speaking in discussion more, I felt I was lacking in that aspect, but it is part of my personality of being timid that I need to continue to try and
I have honestly identified speaking, mathematics, positive visualization and optimism, seeking support from others, and self esteem and confidence as my weaknesses (Bethel University, 2014). The common theme that I have found with my weaknesses involves my shy and quiet personality (Bethel University, 2014). I have a weakness when it comes to the geometry side of mathematics. No matter how many times that I take measurements for a project, I always have to make multiple trips to the store to buy more materials (Bethel University, 2014).
Out of everything that we 've learned this quarter, goal setting was something that stood out to me. There are a few times where I set a goal in my head but end up never achieving them, wether it was something very simple or more of a long term goal. A technique that stood out to me in our notes is, writing down your goals. I don 't I 've ever written down a single goal that I 've had. In class and in our notes we talked about how it is important to write down your goals and how you cannot just write the general idea of your goal, but how you need to be very specific in what it is you want to achieve. I think that in college it 's very important to set long, mid, and short term goals because somedays will be harder than others and you need
A statement from the Huffington Post states, “From a very young age, we are told the importance of getting good grades. Especially in high school, we are told time and time again that our grades affect what college we will get into. While grades are extremely important, people often forget about the importance of learning, not just getting good grades. There is a difference between the grade received in a course and the amount of learning that took place in the course.” Parents and institutions should teach the importance of learning. The society around the upbringing of students emphasizes getting good grades as apposed to getting every detail and aspect mastered. School priorities should be reevaluated and changed for future students
Everyone has a weakness and at some point in life we have to eventually overcome it in order to become better. Having the right mindset can turnover any kind of flaw and having to use them for your own benefit. Recognizing your imperfection is the first step. Recuperate your weakness by saying how you could possibly fortify it. Focusing on your weakness more other than your strength will possibly lower your self-esteem, taking you to the wrong direction. Putting yourself in an uncomfortable situation can help improve in the areas you’re more deficient on.
Balancing the characteristics of a good student will not only lift them out of the average student range in some of their classes, but it will also carry on through his or her adult life making a job or a career even better. Becoming an excellent student early on in one 's lifetime is the best way to learn the discipline needed because it 's something that will be pushed onto the student by the parents very young, rather than trying to teach oneself self discipline. Defining a student by their grades is not a good way to understand the student and how they are learning but watching the choices that they make in academics is the key to defining who has what it takes to proclaim the good student
Students need to be inspired to think critically. By this they comprehend what has been learned and be able to use it. I hope my students will be able to achieve their greatest potential that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to. We can give our children these building blocks thru education to use in decision making situations, moral value of their thoughts and actions. This will guide them to realize how their actions and decisions will affect themselves and others.
