Some programs only take a year and half to complete if you have a bachelor’s degree in social work already. After I get my masters so many more doors open up for me. I can start working towards becoming the director of an agency or possibly going to a hospital and working in the pediatrics department to help the children there. Working at a hospital would be one goal I would really love to achieve, because those children are scared and have no idea what is going on or the process they are going through and their parents do not completely understand either and they need someone to help them. If I decide to stay with an adoption agency another great opportunity I may have is going on trips to countries that needs help with adoptions between the United States. I would be going with families over there to see the child they are adopting, getting to know the family they are adopting from and finalizing all the paperwork so they can take their new baby home. Just thinking about all the opportunities that I will have and all the goals I have set for myself makes me excited to start my career. Social work allows me to help children find homes with loving families and give advice to the ones who need it
