Vaccinations are designed to help people go through their everyday life. A country doctor, Edward Jenner, who lived in Berkeley, England, first administered vaccines in 1796 (Health Affairs). Throughout history, vaccinations have become better to where they are safer for the human body. Everyone should get vaccinated against certain disease to stay healthy. Vaccines have been proven to make people immune to serious diseases (Childhood Immunization). By being vaccinated the person is not only helping themselves but others around them too. Vaccines are an important tool for preventing disease and should be mandatory for all people.
Childhood vaccines protect children from a variety of serious or possibly fatal diseases, including diphtheria, measles, meningitis, polio, tetanus, and whooping cough (Clinic Staff). By vaccinating children against diseases it helps children grow into strong healthy adults. Today, children in the United States continuously get vaccines that protect them from more than a dozen diseases (Childhood Immunization). Also, childhood vaccines help children stay healthy from others who they may come in contact with who have a disease. Children need vaccines as they grow up to keep them stay healthy. Children have to get certain vaccines before they may attend school (Childhood Immunization).
When a child is born, the doctors start a regular vaccination schedule to keep them up to date. One thing that parents should be aware of is that before a child is two years old the blood cerebral barrier will still allow foreign proteins to directly enter into the brain where they might cause possible damage (Rau). If a child is sick then it’s best to wait until the child feels better before giving them a vaccine....

There have been many issues surrounding vaccinations all around the world. Vaccines are made with dangerous toxins that can cause disorders in many different people. Dr. Joseph says that almost all vaccines are made with immune adjuvant, which causes the immune system to react in a harmful way (qtd. in Garcia). Some serious side effects of the immune adjuvant include lowering of intellectual and sexual abilities and death in serious cases (Garcia). Vaccinations began approximately 1000 C.E. beginning with the Chinese inoculating for smallpox. Vaccinations became widely practiced throughout the globe. More vaccinations were invented to prevent multiple diseases such as smallpox, diphtheria, tetanus, and typhoid. These vaccines have greatly reduced the burden of the diseases. Today this practice causes controversy because many view it as unnecessary and harmful. Without the practice of vaccinations, the prevented diseases will return with a lasting impact.

Vaccines protect you and the people you care about. For example, there are many babies that can die from whooping cough but by you and others getting the vaccine for it, it can prevent the baby from getting it also. Not only does it protect your family but it lowers the chances of spreading the disease to your friends and even strangers.
Vaccines are given for many reasons. Most importantly because they can save your child’s life. Because of the miraculous advances in medical science, children are being protected against more and more diseases than ever before. Some diseases that had once injured or even killed thousands of children, have been eliminated completely. Others are close to extinction, due to safe and effective vaccines. One example of vaccine that has eliminated an illness is the polio disease in the United States. Polio, once America’s most-feared disease, that caused death and paralysis across the country has had no reports in the United States thanks to vaccinations.
Vaccines use your body’s ability to learn how to terminate almost all germs or microbes that attack it. The body memorizes how to protect against microbes that it has previously came across. Specifically, the immune system is the part of your body that remembers and attacks diseases. Your immune system is the reason for every illness you’ve ever defeated, and without it you most likely wouldn’t be alive. It takes approximately a week for your body to learn how to fight off a new microbe/germ. However, some microbes are so infectious that that your immune system can’t quite grasp it and defeat it. In this case, a vaccine can make a world’s difference. Vaccines contain weakened or dead pathogens (microbes) that are put into the body so your body can learn how to recognize and terminate them.
Vaccinations have been a controversial topic over the years because the benefits are inevitably invisible. People who do not receive the disease are unaware of the good that comes out of the vaccination as well as the risks. There are multiple killer diseases out in the world that could and do harm unsuspecting victims and need to be prevented; therefore, vaccinations are the solution. Each year, about 2.1 million people die from vaccine-preventable diseases. Many children may not receive their necessary first year vaccinations because of lack of availability, religious beliefs, and safety concerns (Healy, Rench, and Baker 540). The dictionary definition of a vaccine is a biological preparation that improves the immunity to a certain disease (Healy, Rench, and Baker 540). Although all 50 States in the United States require children to be vaccinated to certain diseases before entering school, the states also have exemptions for these vaccinations (Lu 870). Parents often choose not to get their children immunized, and it has proven harmful to the health of the global population. It is important for parents to have their children vaccinated against diseases such as measles, mumps, and polio because it is important to promote the welfare of the human race (Parkins 439).
Vaccinations should be mandatory because they help keep our children, communities and future generations safe; they also provide the possibility of a world without Human Papillomavirus, whooping cough and other dangerous diseases. Vaccinations help keep our children safe from measles and 13 other different diseases. It is commonly accompanied by a painful itchy rash and fever. At one point in history, measles was a very common disease.
