Why is it considered bizarre to see boys playing with dolls whereas boys toys are much accessible for them to play without parents concern's. What they are being told are boy appropriate toys; blow them up, kill them up, shoot them up kind of toys that they are born to play with. Since we come to earth our parents tell us what to do or not, in this case rule that determine gender. Boys are born to be in the army, play with trucks and airplanes. On the other side, girls must play with dolls, take the action of mom, and eventually take care of children cook, and be the housewife. Katha Pollitt in, "Why Boys don’t play with Dolls," says that nobody is born knowing what our roles are, it is something that we learn from what the society and our parents teach us in our transition from children to adults. Katha states that our present was initiated 28 years ago, and the boys still play and like trucks whereas girls still like and play around dolls. Women are still considered beautiful and soft, which has lead them to deem this to be acceptable this way in the society we live in; even thou our physic don’t determine the roles we take in life. The new world is a place of inequality among men and women. Men, still do men things, dangerous and risky jobs, failing feminism over again. Also, our parents are influenced by society on how they should teach their children. Pollitt tells us that personalities come from the environment where they were raised and live.
