Another reason animal testing does not make sense is because we have alternative ways of testing. There are many new ways of testing besides testing on animals. By doing these other types of tests, people can save animals from pain and save their lives. In the article, “Alternative Testing” stated, “some new ways of testing could include ways like using tests on cells, using tests on types of tissues, and using tests on computer stimulations” (Howard). The article, “Ban Animal Testing” stated, “that an alternative method of testing is in vitro studies, which are cells used to test properties of drugs and tissues can also be used to test products and reactions from drugs as well” (Stachura). This may be true but research has shown that using these new ways of testing is just as effective as using tests on animals like stated in the previous sentences. In conclusion, alternative methods are new and better than testing on animals and by doing these other tests people can save animals from pain and save animals lives. Another reason animal testing does not make sense is because it has no place in our modern world. We have no reason to test on animals or maybe we have some reasons but they are not that affective anymore. People who are against animal and people who are for animal testing has been about half and half, but now more people are finding out what is happening to these animals being tested and they learn that they do not agree with it so more people are becoming against animal testing. Some of the people who are against animal testing are starting public awareness for animals in laboratories being tested on. In the article, “Woman Chooses Torture to Raise Awareness About Something Important” it was showing the torture and suffering animals have to endure and go through in a medical laboratory. This article stated, “24-year old Jacqueline Traide was restrained, force-fed and injected with cosmetics in clear public view as part of an effort to raise awareness about animal cosmetics testing. This is one of many examples of performance artists going to great lengths to raise awareness about a very important issue, one that has been changing for the better, and will continue to do so as we continue to raise awareness and share this kind of information.
