Cold War To explain the Cold War is to first understand fighting against the Axis powers during WWII, the US and Soviet Union was allies. Their relationship was not stable as US had been wary of communism in the Soviet and Russian leader Stalin, whom was a tyrant. With resentment toward the Americans in their refusal to treat the USSR as a part of international community, resulted in the deaths of millions of Russians.
