Macbeth is the Most Responsible for the Murders Throughout the Play (rough draft) If a proper trial were to take place, right now, Macbeth would immediately be convicted for the crimes that he committed. A jury would find him guilty without a shadow of doubt in their minds. The witches never forced him to murder anyone, he came up with his ambitious plot to use violence, to acquire the throne, himself, and continued to murders innocent people without any outside influence. It should be obvious to anyone that he is, by far, the most responsible for the crimes that he committed.
Macbeth made decisions throughout his life, some were good decisions, such as staying loyal to King Duncan during the Norwegian's invasion. He was awarded for his …show more content…

He started out with Duncan, murdering him in his sleep, and then moved on to the chamberlains. He even said out loud, “O, yet I do repent me of my fury, that I did kill them” (Act 2, Scene 3). No one did anything at the time because they had all thought that the chamberlains had killed Duncan, so Macbeth’s murder of them was excused. In reality, the chamberlains were completely innocent, and it was his idea to kill them, not Lady Macbeth’s. Thereafter, he had Banquo, his dear friend, killed just on suspicion that he could become a threat in the future. Had had no concrete evidence, but still elected to hire murderers to carry out the murder in his name. He told the murderers, “Who wear our health but sickly in his life, Which in his death were perfect” in an effort to convince them that Banquo is evil and killing him would be good. (Act 3, sc. 1). He manipulated these people into killing innocent Banquo, without any foreign influence on him. Which validates the fact that Macbeth is out of control of anyone, and he commit these crimes knowingly. These are not the actions of a man that was forced into this situation, willingly killing friends is not the work of a victim. Macbeth is the perpetrator of these crimes, hiring people and doing the murders himself without anyone telling him to do
