In U.S. history, there have been four presidential assassinations. Abraham Lincoln was one of those presidents; he was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth on April 15, 1865. He lived in a poor family, but out of that family he became the president of the United States. He was assassinated in Ford’s Theatre by a man who wanted to just ‘see’ the president, but John was going to kill President Lincoln because he felt that Abraham was a tyrant to the south.
Abraham Lincoln was a good president, but a good president must have a good background. Abe was born in Hodgenville, KY, on February 12, 1809. His brother and sister were Thomas and Sarah. Unfortunately, Thomas had died in infancy. His parents names were Thomas and Nancy, although, Nancy died when Abraham was 9 and his father re-married to a woman named Sarah Johnston one year after. His family was poor. As a child, he would go to an ABC school where the teachers were barely smarter than their students.
