What is genetic modification? It is the changing of the genes of something to modify its characters and properties to reach a certain goal like solving a problem, curing a diesis or increasing the yield a lot of scientists see that genetic modification affects negatively the nature and human life .Genetic modification can create a new diesis like: toxic effect :hepatic ,pancreatic, renal or reproductive problems and starts a biological war also can affect the balance of the nature which leads to the extinction of human species. As a result it can destroy all the faces of life that people know. On the other hand genetic modification can solve starvation problems as in China and Japan. Genetic modification affects negatively human's life and nature but also can be used in solving starvation problems.
Genetic modification can cause a lot of health problems which affects the human life as said: "Whereas western diet and lifestyle may enhance the expression of genes related to chronic diseases. Our genes or pathways are most likely regulated by micro RNA[1-4]. The prevalence and mortality due to multi factorial polygenic diseases; hypertension, coronary artery disease (CAD), diabetes and cancer" (The Open Nutraceuticals Journal,11/4/2011) . This health problem caused by genetic modification and has a negative effect on human's life. The diseases caused by genetic modification are very series and affects the human species negatively and this effect could extend to the new individuals because it causes a reproductive problems and deformation in genes of the new individuals also can causes toxic effect as hepatic, pancreatic and renal so people must be careful in the usage of the genetic modified ingredients to reduce it's negative effe...

... the unknown risks and diseases can caused by genetic modified food.
Genetic modified foods is very dangers and have a highly negative effect on humans and nature so people must understand that and wait or at least reduce the use of the genetic modified ingredients to save their life and the nature from the unknown risks which can destroy them and also can destroy the new individuals which had done nothing to be affected by the mistakes of their fathers as genetic modified food affects the reproductive system of humans and can causes the deformation and up normality of the children. Genetic modification can causes Liver, pancreas and testes function was distributed so people must take care in using genetic modified food .

Genetically modified foods affect humans’ health by weakening the immunologic system, giving rise to degenerative diseases and causing the appearance of new viruses. Transgenic food alters the immune system occasioning an increment on the tolerance of virus. GMO make the immune system to lose it capacity of recognizing dangerous substances. In addition, the weakening of the immune system decreases the number of white blood cells in the body, increasing the possibilities to develop autoimmune diseases. In addition, people are prone to acquire degenerative diseases when they eat genetically engineered foods. The food that has been altered includes modified DNA, which is assimilated by the body, causing prejudicial tumors or malformations that can be transmitted to the next generations. Similarly, experimentation with GM Food will facilitate the appearance of new viruses. Viruses are organisms that can evolve being immune to the antidotes or crossbreed with others viruses that cannot be counteracted. Therefore, increase of virus tolerance, acquisition of degenerativ...
One of the major impacts genetically modified foods have on us is the health risks that come along with them. Eating these foods increases the likely hood of developing a disease, which is on the raise for not only people but animals as well. What's worse is it can even lead to organ failure in some cases.
Genetic modification (GM), also known as genetic engineering and recombinant DNA technology, is a process that involves combining DNA, and later inserting the newly recombined DNA into cells to be expressed through protein synthesis. The use of this technology in food can result in both positive and negative consequences. Genetic modification of food can aid first world countries by improving the economy and increasing food supplies, and third world countries, by resolving the issue of nutrient deficiency. In spite of that, genetic modification of food can also have negative effects. These include disruption of the food chain and biodiversity, the production of new, unfamiliar allergens, and even economical decline. Currently, genetically modified food is permitted for use and importation in Australia (Benefits of gene technology, n.d.), which raises the question, whether the genetic modification of food can only have positive outcomes for today’s consumers.
Genetic modification is very harmful for human beings; it has a huge negative effect on animals’ and humans’ health. The manipulation of the genes of crops and animals may cause health damage. “Animal toxicity studies have shown that genetically modified foods may toxically affect several organs and systems” (Arvanitoyannis, 162, 2011). These studies concluded that genetically modified foods are dangerous and they may become one of the most harmful issues in the world. According to Arvanitoyannis research genetically modified foods cause some common toxic effects such as: hepatic, pancreatic, renal or reproductive effects and may alter the hematological, biochemical and immuno...
The original idea of genetically modified foods was to alter food through genetic engineering to create specific changes in its DNA. The reason why GM foods were created was to increase farmer’s production of crops so that they would have a larger harvest and a bigger profit. Another reason GM foods were created was so that food would last longer on the shelves of supermarkets, and therefore save money. There are many concerns that come with GM foods, including health, environmental, and social concerns. The main health issues that people are concerned about are the chances that there could be unintended changes in the food that is being modified. Another health issue is that the GM foods could contain allergens. “After a protein is produced, the cell modifies it in various ways. The protein may be modified in the genetically modified plant differently from the way it would in an unmodified cell, and the modification could produce an allergen.” (Goodenough & McGuire, 2012) In order to prevent these allergens, scientists perform many rigorous tests.
If people really knew what they were putting in their bodies when they ate, they probably would not want to eat it anymore. People don’t even know where their food is coming from, let alone know that their foods have been genetically modified. There are huge issues regarding the consumer’s health when eating these foods. For example, the animals wellbeing is not considered, and the environment is at risk. The United States food industry has become corrupt in so many ways; therefore, the consumer should buy from local farms to improve their health and ease their conscience.
Have you ever wondered why Fruits and vegetables like oranges and grapes;or tomato or cumbers?I go into the grocery store and I see excessively large foods.I never payed attention to the fact that the foods are sometimes modified to make them bigger, better, more of an abundance of,and last longer. But do you really think that Modifying the foods are going to better help the people or the environment? But ask yourself by eating these foods how will it effect my health,my mental well-being,also even the animals that I eat?Can you really think that modifying the food is Beneficial? No!So I will explain to you the dangers of the genetically modified foods.
Genetic engineering is the intended modification to an organism’s genetic makeup. There have been no continuing studies on this topic or action so there is no telling whether or not it is harmless. Genetic engineering is not safe because scientists have no absolute knowledge about living systems. Given that, they are unable to do DNA surgery without creating mutations. Any interference on an organism’s genetic makeup can cause permanent damage, hereditary defects, lack of nutritious food, or a spread of dangerous diseases.
“Genetically modified foods are a "Pandora's box" of known and unknown risks to humans and the environment. They have been forced onto the American public by multinational biotech and agribusiness corporations without adequate oversight and regulation by the United States government (Driscoll, SallyMorley, David C).”Genetically Modified Food is food which has been chemically altered by scientists during the production process to give the food more nutrients, better appearance, and a longer shelf-life (Rich, Alex K.Warhol, Tom). The importance of this issue is that these GMO’s can actually have a negative effect in our society in general. It could mutate in a negative way and cause cancer or other diseases. Genetically modified food should be strictly controlled due to its various detrimental effects on the environment, human health, and potentially insect/animal effects.
In conclusion genetic modification is a type of modification that some people see as beneficial and some see as harmful. It has been thought that it will help with diseases and make people happier and healthier. Genetic modification is not worth all of the consequences that come with it. Although genetic modification may have some benefits it is far outweighed by all of the possible negative Sid effects and
In conclusion, the application of genetically modified food has a lot of pros and cons. There is so much disagreement about the benefits and risks of GM because there are so many different views surrounding it. This issue is very important today because it will change our future. How would the world be when every single living creature will be in some aspect genetically modified? Would we be more resistant to illness? Or would we be weaker and more vulnerable to diseases? Would this be the beginning of the mutant era? Regardless of the answers to these questions, we will need to consider the implications of genetically modified foods.
Some people say that genetic engineering is harmful as well as some consider it beneficial. There are various arguments given by different researchers regarding genetic engineering . Many believe that with
Developing countries such as USA, Canada, Brazil, China, South Africa, Uruguay, Australia and India had adopted genetically engineered crops, and with it the controversy about transgenic food, but it is crucial to keep trying to develope more this technology since the population keeps growing and it might reach a point where the food production won't be enough, or as we had seen before, the extinction of animal races, or plant types, some people think that it might be the cause of different diseases, but there is a chance that it can also help cure them as well. What has been a problem too, is the regulation of this products, since they are being made with new technology there is a lot of doubts, federal government has the obligation to regulate and make sure that “transgenic food” is safe for humans to
Imagine a utopian society which does not have all the health risks which are prevalent today. Continue to imagine many of the world’s problems, some of which include world hunger, sickness, and overpopulation disappear. In reality, many people are affected by these predicaments, especially children and the elderly. Without these devastating problems, premature death would become a thing of the past. There would no longer be starving children or chronically ill people. The cure to cancer and other harmful diseases can be found. There is a possible answer to all these problems which will be developed in the near future. These dilemmas may be fixed by a method known as genetic engineering, a branch of biotechnology. Biotechnology is using biology for an industry and genetic engineering is changing the characteristics of an organism by modifying its DNA. These organisms are also commonly known as a GMO, a genetically modified organism. Through this technique, more nutritious crops can be created which can benefit society. Even though in reality, this method may be hard to believe, it may be a possibility in the near future. However, many people disagree with the practices of this science and are often a target in political debates. The act of genetically modifying foods has been thought to being dangerous to peoples’ health along with decreasing biodiversity. Politics influence the research and development of biotechnology through the many differing perspectives of bioethics, the question of how to support a growing human population, the treatment of patients using controversial methods, and the economic impact is has nationally and globally.
Genetically modified foods most commonly refers to the plants, which has been modified in the laboratory to enhance improved nutritional content and aimed traits created for human beings and animals. With progress in various types of technology, especially in genetic engineering, farmers and scientists have changed the way in which food is grown and made, raising questions about the methods, their risks and possible effects. It is not a secret that GMF-ed foods have spread out rapidly to the whole world. GMFs have raised concerns over their own beneficial in that they are resistant to diseases, produces greater yields, and it improves the nutrition of foods making the people unaware about their effects. Every time we go to any grocery stores or supermarkets, we would not know whether the vegetables, fruits or even meats being sold are genetically modified. To make this situation worse, most consumers do not pay much attention to what they are eating, when they are actually consuming modified foods.
