For anyone who has ever gotten and F and cares about their grades can put a huge deal of stress on them. With an F hanging over there shoulders it can lower there self esteem so much to them thinking that they will never get the concept or are plain out just not intelligent. Some teachers don't like to see there students fail and will go to an extreme of curving or altering grades so they don't have to deal with it and will just pass the student. Is this in fact a way to make our education system better or lead to illiteracy in the world? However this is not true, because if a student is constantly getting an F and trying they will eventually stop caring or will lose and interest in the subject. From personal experience I can attest that I did have an F for a while at one point and I was stressed an worried about not passing. After a while of me trying my best in the subject I started to slowly not care because why would I continue to try my best if I am not succeeding. In the end i passed with a C but was still not satisfied knowing I tried my best. Another reason why more F’s will not increase education quality it it can limit ones creativity so to speak on projects etc. I myself always want to have a project look the best, but when things are due in short periods of time it is impossible to juggle all other classes and still put out something you are really proud of, thus limiting things you have actually learned and causing some students to not do the project at
