What Made Theodore Roosevelt a Great Leader?

What made Theodore Roosevelt such a great president and person? Many people aspire to be like him, but he sets a high bar for humanity. He is in many people's opinions one of the greatest presidents of the United States, so incredible that his face is set in stone and will be for hundreds of years in the future.
Theodore Roosevelt, Junior was born on October 27, 1858. His father was Theodore, Roosevelt, Senior and his mother was Martha Stewart Bulloch. He lived in New York City in a section that is called today, Gramercy. Theodore had an older sister, a younger brother, and a younger sister. When young Roosevelt was often sick, he had to sleep propped up in a or slouching in a chair. Theodore boxed and exercised to fight his condition, his father encouraged and helped him along the way.
Theodore's first wife was Alice Hathaway Lee, they married on Roosevelt's 22nd birthday. His mother and Alice Hathaway Lee died on the same day in 1884. This caused him to decide to leave politics and to go to the Dakotas, whilst there he became a rancher. He later returns to New York City and runs for mayor, he doesn't win though, he loses third with 60,000 votes.
The Spanish-American started when Roosevelt was running the Department of the Navy. He quickly resigns and forms a volunteer cavalry regiment called the Rough Riders. This group of volunteers fought in Cuba.
He was elected govenor in 1898. In 1900 he was nominated for vice president. He was able to help reelect President William McKinley Junior, helping to campaign to the Republican Party and helping them to see him as a viable candidate. Theodore gave his fellow people a fair chance with freedom and opportunity for success. He valued everyone. He wanted everyone to have equality and for the human condition to progress forward. He accomplished his tasks and equality for all is improving every day.
Theodore Roosvelt was a wonderful president and an even better man. He thought of us all as equals and valued his people's opinions. He helped fight wars, and he helped win those wars. He was a valued person in the American history that will always be remembered.
