Buzzfeed’s ‘What Kind of Pizza Are You?’ quiz is a fun way to pass time and it is amusing to share results amongst your friends or post it on Facebook and laugh about it. However, does knowing what kind of pizza you are really assist your life in many ways? Similar to most quizzes or tests that claim to identify your personality, they do not help you learn more about yourself or discover what you can do because of your personality type. On the contrary, the Myers-Briggs test is the first test I have ever taken that actually showed accurate results due to more than just pure coincidence. In this category, I received intuition. At first, this result was surprising. I always thought that I was better at sensing the underlying things in the world around me. However, after reading into it I discovered that ‘sensing’ was the exact opposite of what I though it was. In the Myers-Briggs test, sensing means paying attention to the physical reality of things, while intuition is digging in deeper and discovering new ideas and possibilities. I find that this is an accurate representation of me because I have always enjoyed metaphors and finding the hidden context. This is another one in which at first I was uncertain until I researched about what exactly Myers-Briggs was referring to. I discovered that judging did not mean judgmental but instead was someone who prefers things to be planned out rather than spontaneous. According to the Myers-Briggs website, Judging people prefer ‘the destination’ while perceiving people prefer ‘the journey’. I found this to be somewhat accurate, though I do prefer spontaneous activities as well. For example, whenever my friends and I hang out, we typically prefer to not choose what we are going to do until the moment occurs. However, I still like to plan out what date we are going to hang out so I can add it to my schedule. These two letters had the closest scores, 65% for judging and 35% for perceiving, showing that even though I lean towards judging, it is one of my more ambiguous
