Why is our own personal political ideology important? I believe that it is very important to know what we believe and why we believe it. For when it comes time to vote we can match what politicians says to our own beliefs, and it will help us be informed voters. There are four main political ideologies in the United States of America. Most people in the United States can identify with one of these belief systems. They are effective at showing some of the fundamental beliefs of the American people. I think that my personal values are very important for me, and I should not be influenced by other unless I have the same feelings or beliefs. There is a huge difference between both stories; however, they have some common conflicts.
These are the policies of the Democrats, and more specifically those of the New Deal and the Fair Deal. These social programs, such as social security and welfare, have been a drain on the federal budget for quite some time. Republicans feel that the time has come to start cutting back the amount of money being spent on such programs, or at least curtail the yearly increases. However, there are times when a political leader must make their own decisions and not base the way they run their administration on the influence of their party. We propose tax credits for small businesses that provide health insurance, retirement benefits, and employment and internships to students. We also propose that tax credits be given to businesses that practice clean air and environmental safety. We believe that our youth are a key concern of the nation and we need to set certain measures to make them feel safe and secure as Americans. A measure that we feel needs to be taken is to raise taxes on such products as cigarettes and guns. The Democratic Party believes in helping American families economically and socially through more equitable tax benefits.

When it comes to the issues dealt with by all Americans, you generally have few choices with which to align yourself. You can either decide to stand on the right, taking a conservative viewpoint: believing in personal responsibility, limited government, free market, etc. with notable parties such as the Republican Party and the Peace and Freedom Party. Alternatively, you can stand on the left, taking the more liberal route: holding ideals such as government action and equal opportunity. Those parties include the Democratic Party and the Green Party. However, it is not a black and white cutoff between conservative and liberal, rather a circular spectrum going to the far left, the far right, and meeting back up. Growing up in a very conservative home could have led me to carry on the political beliefs of my parents, but for me that is not quite what happened. My parents were very good people who worked hard for what they had. Both my mother and father were deeply religious, and church was always mandatory for all five of their children. Through their faith, they developed an often benevolent disposition with others, but I noticed at a very young age that judgement seemed to accompany their actions. My parents were the type of people that would offer a ride to a stranger, or give a few dollars to someone standing on the corner with a “will work for food” sign. Those actions always made me a very proud daughter, but when they would discuss their

In a system that is built on making compromises, it is dangerous to have high levels of political polarization. Everyone has a worldview with main characteristics that are ever changing. Different sources influence this framework such as parenting, friendship, telecommunication or internet media, educational and religious sectors. Hindson and Caner (2008) propose standardization methods of worldview are measured either by emotions and feelings, socialism, or the truth (Hindson & Caner, 2008, p.499). Recognition of a person’s worldview can be found based on ones answer to several reality questions surrounding God (origin), human nature (identity), reality (meaning/purpose), after life (destiny), values (morality or ethics).
The term ideological is defined as "a more or less consistent set of views as to the policies government ought to pursue." (Wilson, 116) I believe that I am ideological in my political thinking. I stand really strong on what I believe in and will always try to persuade people that my thinking is right. My opinion on spending more money on national security rather than welfare is strongly felt because I have been a victim where I suffered because the government spent too much money on welfare rather than national defense. I feel that I am very consistent in all my thinking not only with politics but also with other issues.

Political Philosophy is typically a study of a wide range of topics such as, justice, liberty, equality, rights, law, politics and the application of a codified law. Depending on what the philosophy is, it usually tends to be a very sensitive and a personal ideology that an individual holds within the reality of their existence. Several of the fundamental topics of political philosophy shape up the society that we live in as these specific topics and their implementation by the state ensures a legitimate government. In Political Philosophy, the aforesaid concepts or topics are evaluated and analyzed with tremendous depth in context to their history and intent. Furthermore, in a rather colloquial sense, political philosophy is generally a point of view which after some deep thinking asks questions such as, what are the government’s duties? Is it legitimate? What makes it legitimate? What are the duties of its citizens? What are their rights? Are they protected? So on and so forth. In the following paper, I will canvass my political philosophy and elaborate on my reasoning behind it.
