1. The right to have fun in a sport without a parent’s decision making. Parents sometimes get so involved and influence their children in playing a certain sport. Athletes should be able to make up their own mind on what they want to play if they even want to play that sport.
2. The right to not get penalized if you miss a practice or game because of school. Many student get home late from practices and games not allowing them to get all their school work done and other things needed. This will allow student athletes not to have the stress that many of them face trying to juggle everything and get their work done with sports.
3. The right for parents not to be fully involved in their child’s sports life. Numerous times you hear of parents talking to the coach about their child not playing. This will allow parents to not be able to talk to the coach about their child’s playing time and let the coach decided what his or her team will do.

The right to submit late work for a class. Student’s grades suffer with the lack of time between school, sports and sleep. If a child is falling behind in school they should have the option to submit assignments in late to put their best effort into the work, and still be able to participate in their sport.
