What Is The Meyers Briggs Personality Type Test?

The Meyers Briggs Personality type test is discussed thoroughly in regards to validity. The validity is based on a personal review of my results. As the test identified that I am a ENFP personality type, this specific type is detailed and explained within step one. The sources provided by the BMAL 500 class are used to elaborate on a ENFP type. Personal reflection is included in step two explaining lessons learned. The discussion provided is a revealing insight into the ENFP mind. Step 1 Validity of Meyers-Briggs Type. As I discussed this project with those around me, it became evident that many people have varied opinion on the Meyers-Briggs Type. And yet, in my first sentence I have identified particular characteristics of my personality type identified by the Meyers- Briggs Type test. Early on in the process, I shared this assignment with my co-workers and manager. I have been in management positions throughout my career and have struggled to find my exact style. Now having a better grasp of how I may most naturally succeed as a manager, I can become better tuned into my actions. According to Type Talk at Work ENFP’s biggest asset is relative to people skills (Kroeger, Thuesen, & Rutledge, 2002, p. 365). While I have always prided myself on being able to not only deal with people but enjoy these relationship, I now know one strength I can employ as a manager. Type Talk at Work goes further to say that people with my same temperament is successful at sharing credit and helping affirm those around them (Kroeger, Thuesen, & Rutledge, 2002, p. 366).
