Tourism sector is expressed to be one of the most important parts of economy in the world, which provides earnings, recruitments and revenues. According to UNWTO World Tourism Barometer, during 2015 worldwide tourist arrivals has risen up by 4.4% and extended to 1,184 million. In the last year tourism sector has employed over 12 million people in the European Union (Eurostat Statistics, 2015). Because of an opportunity that is giving, tourism is considered to be the best sector in economy that can bring advantage to sustainable tourism (Hastings, 2014). When talked about tourism, it must be pointed out that historical and cultural heritage is playing one of the biggest roles in development of a certain country. Further, both cultural heritage and nature have been recognized as the most important factors that can give a country or destination added value of attractiveness and in that way to be more competitive with other destinations around the world. When talked about this, a lot of previous researches actually pointed out the significance of culture and heritage on the economy and possible competitors (Bandarin, Hosagrahar & Albernaz, 2011; Boix, Lazzeretti, Capone, De Propris & Sanchez, 2012; Cooke & Lazzeretti, 2008; Pereira Roders & Von Oers, 2011). Culture and heritage have a dominant increase for both economy and society in terms of producing income and job positions. The connection between culture and economy is more than significant not just because of economic improvement but also because of improvement it has on society (Power & Scott, 2004). According to Bailey et al. (2010), there is a strong harmony that tangible/intangible, movable/immovable or spiritual heritage properties can create an advantage and bring out innovation for promoters and progress for a destination. Based on opinion of Ismagilova, Safiullin and Gafurov (2015), as an outcome of historical and cultural heritage the destination can get positive image in the market.
