In the past two hundred years, the mankind has progressed like never before, since the existence of us, which is few billion years ago, only in the past few decades we managed to land on the moon, increased life expectancy, made our lives much easier and convenient with technology, and many more things that are beneficial to us. All of this progress didn’t come out of nowhere, it had many roots and starting points and the most important one is: Education. Image for a second if we didn’t care for education in the past, many of the inventors would’ve never seen their potential and we could’ve been stuck in medieval era forever. The main root of progress is education, which is big enough reason on why everyone should be educated. I can safely say that everyone can agree that everyone should be educated, however, there are many problems that we face along the road of accomplishing this. If the education doesn’t pay off, the importance of it is far lesser than where it pays off. When I was living in my country, unemployment rate was high, schools were extremely hard, and the education had little to no benefits. Like many others I didn’t really feel the importance of education, it just seemed like a pointless hard work, this is probably because I went to College Prep school for one year, it was extremely hard, and yet no specific skills are learned and there is no job if students graduate from it. My views of education have changed the moment I arrived in this country, where the unemployment rate is very low, and where educated people actually make a good living. Finishing high school and going through college is very worth it. It really disheartens me when I see people that choose not to be educated here without even realizing what a privilege it is to be educated
