Laser eye surgery refer to the process of reshaping the front surface of the eye (the cornea) in order to correct imperfections which normally affects the eye’s ability to focus. Sometimes depending on the treatment deemed suitable, a thin layer is usually lifted away gently from the surface of the surface of the eye so as to enable the laser to access the layer below and correct the prescription with pinpoint accuracy. This layer is carefully set back in place and even at times it’s protected with a clear bandage contact lens for 3-5 days while the eye naturally heals. All these operations are normally carried out using bladeless laser technology in order to eliminate potential complications that may emerge and improve the results for every patient that is treated.
