Quitting A JobHistory of Hip Hop Throughout the human existence people have always made art to express themselves and convey a message. Whether it be from: performing arts, visual arts, or acoustic arts, one subgenre stands out to most, Music. This subgenre has an outstanding amount of different types of music. However, one type that has been exponentially growing with the growing culture is Hip Hop. As an aspiring music producer and an avid supporter of music, I've been introduced to this new wave of Hip Hop. As Hip Hop is nearing its fiftieth year since its creation and introduction into the music scene I will share with you How Hip Hop was created and what made it transcended into a worldwide phenomenon. Hip Hop (also known as RAP) was first created in South Bronx of New York City in the late 1960’s. First, many MC’s began forming Record labels and creating groups to elevate their public image. Secondly, DJ’s began doing solo careers and became producers of instrumentals for the MC’s to rap over. However, Hip Hop didn't only stop their, Rappers like Run DMC began experimenting by rapping over Rock instrumental and collaborating with Aerosmith creating numerous amount of rap subgenres inspired by the unlikely combination. Although many things have changed over the years two deaths changed the rap genre forever, the death of biggie smalls and tupac. Both were on the opposing ends of the rap radius. Biggie was part of the East America rap wave and Tupac was part of the West Coast Rap wave. Their deaths ended a 10 year Rap rivalry that was becoming hostile as many rappers prior were getting murdered. The disagreement ended and soon after many of the best rappers began collaborating with their counterparts creating countless more sub genres that began stemming from different parts of
