Most people like watching movies that relate to them. For an Example teens like watching movies that show courage or excitement. In the movie Divergent, Tris finds out that she is different then the others, but she can’t tell anyone. And in the book Anthem He is starting to have feelings for a girl and he discovered electricity and make a light bulb, but the council does not like what he is doing so they try to punish him for it. When Equality 7-2521 started to grow feeling for Liberty 5-3000 and gives her a name. “We have given them a name in our thoughts. We call them the Golden One”(Rand 41). He calls her the Golden One, because she isn’t like the other ones, she is unique. It is forbidden to give someone else a name and to grow feeling for someone. Anthem encourages Individualism because he is showing feeling that is forbidden because they all have to be equal in this society. The film Divergent demonstrates breaking away from society. In the film Divergent, Tris finds out she different and it can end deadly for her, because the society thinks she will overthrow the society,so she keeps it a secret so no one will know. “They’re going to kill me”(Burger). This shows that if they find out she's a divergent they will kill her. It ties into the topic sentence because it shows how she can overcome society and change everything.
