We all know what it 's like to sit inside four plain walls, 5 days a week, 200 days a year for 13 years. As these years are about to end for me I have started to realise that school has not only taught me my 1,2,3s and my A,B,C’s, it has made me in to the man I am today.
After attending Hastings Boy’s High School the past 5 & half years, I have learnt many things, about myself as a person, I have acquired life skills, and a clearer idea of what I want for my future.
I am a keen sportsman. I play many sports, Indoor netball, football, surf lifesaving, surfing and canoe polo. Well just this year i have learnt more about myself than any other years. After spending most of my time last year mucking around I did very little when it came to work, leaving a lot of it to the last minute. I ended up rushing to finish things where I got the big fat F written on my final papers. My final grade came up very poorly which really brought me back to reality this is not how the real world works. With my eyes set on going to EIT to become a primary school, I have learnt that i need to “really pull my finger out” as my mum always say. Which is when I came straight down to school and was lucky enough to be given a 2nd life line. I was able to attend boys high once more to complete my level 3 studies. Looking back now I am very grateful for the chance to be able to come back to school as i feel I am ready to move on in life now having my level 3 qualifications giving me more of an open spectrum for my
My primary goal for going to school is to get my education so I can have a brighter future and make an impact in my community. When I go to school, I want to major in biology and obtain my bachelor's degree. After I have received my bachelor's degree, I want to start my graduate studies in medical school. My primary career goal that I want to achieve is to work in healthcare. I want to become a pediatrician, after I finish my education. I want to help children and treat them for common illnesses and diseases. I chose to do this because I want every child to be able to reach their
During my time here at Hudson High School, I have learned so much about what I could achieve for myself and I have developed new passions I continue to chase. I have succeeded and grown in many different programs, clubs and on the field hockey team. I have also developed a strong work ethic by being employed almost entirely through these four years.
Looking back on my three years at Twin Cities Academy, I find myself wondering how all these years came and went so fast. I still watch myself walking through the same halls and sitting in the same classrooms as I did back in 6th and 7th grade and I’ve seen myself grow so much, mentally, socially and physically. I still remember everything that has happened throughout my years, the best of times, and the worst.
“School can be a tremendously disorienting place… You’ll also be thrown in with all kind of kids from all kind of backgrounds, and that can be unsettling… You’ll see a handful of students far excel you in courses that sound exotic and that are only in the curriculum of the elite: French, physics, trigonometry. And all this is happening while you’re trying to shape an identity; your body is changing, and your emotions are running wild.” (Rose 28)
After doing the developmental plan of my personal goal, I felt that this was an eye opener for me. I always have a plan just like a bucket list, but went I started writing out each topic of my personal goals and thought everything out it gave me a clear vision of what my goal really meant to me. It's going to take a lot of hard work and dedication to finish my goal. The strategies that need to be used according to the Walden University vision and mission statement you have to know your mission in becoming a mental health counselor and what how far you are willing to go. In the day to day life, experiences and connections are made. Many things that occur in one’s life can all stem from their individual personality, but interpreting how one’s personality guides their life presents a difficult challenge. Many actions, quirks, and patterns that a person has are easily noted due to the ability to see it, but the puppeteer behind these habits is an individual’s personality. A certain personality type can affect the perception of certain events and the reactions/feelings to certain outcomes. While one person might see a situation as dreadful, another may see it entirely different. We tend to find ourselves side by side with people we see similarities between due to a parallel in certain traits, but no two individuals are exactly the same based on differences in personality. Success is hinged on many things and one of those things is the development of self-awareness. To know oneself is key to tackling on intimidating tasks and situations, but to also grow in terms of knowledge and synergy. In my attempt to
My conformed profile is Introvert, iNtuitive, Feeling and Perceiving (INFP). It is not easy to describe myself as I cannot see my person from outside but better still I am the one that knows me very well than anyone else. Based on my conformed type I am going to describe myself as detailed as I can. As I said earlier I have preference for intraverting, intuition, feeling and perceiving. Mostly people with such personality are referred to as “Mediators” and/or “Idealists”. This is true because I am the type that looks for the good in anything or any person no matter how bad it is. Other researchers also refer to the INFPs as “Dreamers” because of their wonder nature; they never stopped being fascinated. Having preference for INFP means that in business, and in school I am calm, reserved and because of that my colleagues
Let’s flash back in time to before our college days. Back to then we had lunch trays filled with rubbery chicken nuggets, stale pizza, and bags of chocolate milk. A backpack stacked with Lisa Frank note books, flexi rulers, and color changing pencils. The times where we thought we wouldn’t make it out alive, but we did. Through all the trials and tribulations school helped build who I am today and shaped my future. From basic functions all the way to life-long lessons that helped shape my character.
Personal Statement- The Life Changer This excruciating nervousness that’s kept hostage in me is at its peak. Sweat pours from my forehead, eyes wandering in the mist of the incommunicable room, no ideas whatsoever by my intellectual state of mind. All I observe are the walls closing in on me, clock moving 10 seconds faster than normal, and me shrinking by the second.
I feel a bit lost if I do not need to go to school weekly, and I cannot believe that only 4 credits short of finishing my MSA degree. I have been enjoying the learning process that enables me to interact with professors and my classmates for the past year and a half. This is one of the milestones that encourage me continually keep my hard efforts to reach my goal, being a CPA. To be clear, my goal has never been changed. I have been paying massive action toward to the CPA exams. I am currently working for a small tax firm which allows me to learn the tax knowledge the most. I have been looking for a better return on my investment while I becoming more proficient in my competency area. Moving forward continuously, I know that the date just right
What is my personal purpose? Is a question that I have never thought to ask myself until recently. Then when I started learning more about a personal purpose I started wondering if I have one and what it was. I never thought of myself has having a real purpose until a watched an interview Will Smith had did and he had said “When your life means something to someone other than yourself than you have a purpose.” That is when I realized that I have a purpose. My purpose is that I am the hug that let others know it is going to be ok. My personal goals is to be genuinely happy with myself and life and to make my parents proud, my career goal is to own my own business and being successful at doing so, finally, my educational goal is to get my bachelors degree and grauate with honors and even moving on to getting my masters. Having goals is important to me because I know that while I am in the process of accomplishing them I will have something great to look forward to in the end.
These past four years have really been a life changing experience. From a childish freshmen not only at school but at home too, to a still sometimes childish senior, one who knows when and how to control himself. This school and its teachers have taught me so many lessons that will not be forgotten any time soon.
Having explained the reason most children have become disheartened at the thought of school, I now turn my attention to the students who do realize school’s educational value. These are the students that will continue to prosper throughout their lives because they realize the extreme importance of education. There is a secret, yet not so secret, motivation behind their determination to exceed standards and expectations in school. The secret they withhold is their overwhelming desire to be successful in the future.
Life contains an unlimited amount of life lessons; my main life lesson has inspired me to never give up on myself or my goals. Through my life experiences I have learned that there is no such thing as failure. I am certain with myself that I can find success through hard work and dedication. My career aspiration is to help others as a healthcare professional. More specifically, I have a dream of pursuing a career in physical therapy. Nothing gives me more self-satisfaction than to see that I am able to help people self-improve. Therefore, I have committed to studying and preparing myself for graduate school. I am currently an Undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida, destined to graduate in the Fall of 2017. There are multiple Undergraduate degree paths I can take to prepare myself for grad-school; however, I chose a path that can help me develop skills to provide the best possible service for my future patients. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences
Having spent twelve years of my school life in just one small red brick building, the years tend to fade into each other. But the year I remember most clearly and significantly is my senior year of high school, where I finally began to appreciate what this institution offered to any student who stopped to look. Before, school had been a chore, many times I simply did not feel motivated toward a subject enough to do the homework well, and seeing the same familiar faces around ever since I was 5 years old grew very tiring soon enough. But I began to see things from a different angle once I became a senior.
