Geography is a subject that has always fascinated me as it is so diverse and ever-changing. It combines the important factors of the world such as the people, countries and different types of environments we inhabit and how they’re all interlinked. As Michael Palin once wrote, ‘Geography is a living, breathing subject, constantly adapting itself to change, it is dynamic and relevant, a great adventure with a purpose’. I have a strong curiosity about the world we live in. Its physical aspects as well as the people who inhabit and alter it and the way we can sustainably develop a way to keep enjoying its beauty for many more years to come. (Going to reword this)

Working in such a fast paced environment, under pressure to meet deadlines has allowed me to achieve in both a team and individually. I have an eye for detail to meet every customer’s standard while also making their experience with McDonald’s an inviting and pleasant one. It has taught me valuable communication skills with both my co-workers and the general public, giving me confidence when meeting new people which can be transferred to University. I also volunteered at a local charity shop called Hospice for Hope where I dealt with regular donations, served customers and tagged and placed newly donated items onto the shop floor for purchase. In year 11, I undertook a week long work experience at Superdrug’s Pharmacy which allowed me to be able to work in a team, discover different types of medicines and how they affect the body. I regularly had to unpack deliveries from the large TNC GlaxoSmithKline and in my Geography lessons; I was taught that GSK actually donated 750 million products to MEDCs to treat 250 million people suffering from elephantiasis in 2006, where no profits were
