Mobile computing has allowed millions of people worldwide to do to whatever they want anywhere and anytime. Where before, one had to at least have a computer with an Internet connection to go about their business, consumers can now go to their favorite websites using smartphones or tablets that are small enough to fit in their pockets. Users also have the choice of platforms by which they could access their data. By far, the most popular are BlackBerry, Android, iOS, and Symbian.
This new trend has spawned an entire industry based around creating small yet powerful applications for mobile platforms. One of the most exciting applications around is Rippln, an advanced mobile application platform that allows ordinary people to earn revenue using mobile apps. It is possibly the first platform for mobile computing that rewards users for setting up their social networks. It has the potential to get even bigger than the likes of Twitter or Facebook.

Introduction
Rippln allows for transparent, open access to social networking, and brings a whole new business model for the so-called eyeball acquisition. With Rippln, mobile users will be aware of the impact of their social networks on the larger market and to make a profit out of it.
Transparency is key here because until recently, companies and their apps have been relying on their users’ social network influence by growing their companies through word of mouth, and this influence has never been disclosed to individual users. Mobile Advertising = Mobile Sales
Industry pundits also predict that advertisers will recognize the power and potential of mobile computing, and position themselves to take advantage of the situation. Whereas before, a shopper needs to go to a physical store to make a purchase, all a buyer has to do now is to go to an online store and pay for it using his card details.
Mobile advertising seeks to bridge that gap by shifting the decision-making progress from the physical store to online ads, including apps for coupons, web banners, and ads embedded in games. Mobile video is also a trend that cannot be ignored, and needs to be leveraged as an integral part of the total advertising process. Finally, advertisers will start measuring mobile performance, with the aim of targeting ads to specific user classes.
during the late 20th century, mankind hit an unprecedented surge of technological advancement and innovation. From the 1980s onward, our level of technology- especially communication-based technologies- increased exponentially year by year, giving us inventions (and their subsequent additions) such as the mobile cell phone, the Internet, email, instant message and social media platforms. In fact, the advent of the Internet and social media has created a smaller, wired world wherein an individual can communicate with someone from across the world in the blink of an eye.
Attention getter: Imagine that you are sitting in your dorm room with a group of friends creating a social network site for Texas State. As you find that your network goes viral across the world and you have companies willing to buy your site for millions of dollars. This may sound unrealistic, but it became reality for Mark Zuckerberg.
The computation performed on mobile devices is referred to as Mobile Computing [1]. Mobile computing involves mobile communication [2], mobile hardware, and mobile software. Communication is among various adhoc mobile devices in a network which includes certain properties, operations and protocols. Mobile hardware is collection of various mobile devices with in a network. Mobile software includes characteristics and requirements of mobile applications.
This is the reason why a giant like McDonald’s, which spends millions of dollars on advertisements and promotions, has collaborated with WeChat to offer discount coupons, and services to its customers. This trend of cross-promotions is going to increase in the coming future. The focus would be to increase revenues and profits, but social messaging app makers such as Tencent need to remain true to their vision and goals. WeChat must remain simple, free to download, provide exceptional user interface, and introduce better features in days ahead.
Social Networking can be explained to be used in order to stay interconnected with a group of friends on either by use of an application on either smart phone, tablet, and computers. Other ways of logging onto these networks are by using your browser and going to the homepage of the social network you’re wanting to use on either a smartphone, tablet, and computer. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, Tinder, and Instagram, are but of a few of the millions of applications people can download onto their devices. Snapchat is an application where you can take pictures and add comments to it almost like a text message. Snapchat has been a hit for kids because it allows kids to speak freely without a permanent record with the individual or group of individuals they wish to speak with. It puts people in control of the message and delivery, and allows them to do so without the watchful eyes of everyone within their social network. Snapchat’s emergence has made it a key social network and sharing application and that has rapidly diminished the importance of Instagram and Facebook, which owns Instagram. Facebook has made attempts at duplicating Snapchat by adding similar features such as Instagram direct. Instagram direct is where users can send private photos to one or more friends. These attempts were popular at first but users quickly recognized Snapchat as the application to still have. Recently, Facebook tendered Snapchat a three billion dollar buyout. Evan Spiegel and Bobby Murphy, Snapchat’s 23 and 25 year old co-founders and chief executives, said in 2013 that they are reportedly waiting until early 2014 to consider offers. The question is, should Snapchat take the money and run with the offer? By means of business tools and techniques, a recommendation will be put forth to answer the question of whether Snapchat should accept Facebook’s offer.

Smartphone’s, PADs, tablet computers and other handheld devices that are used to run over operating system are called mobile operating system (Mobile OS). A specified data and programs that run over the mobile devices are referred as mobile operating system. It handles all the hardware and optimizes the performance of the application software in the device. Mobile multimedia functions, Internet connectivity and many other applications are handled by mobile operating system. Base infrastructure software inherent of a computerized system is operating system. It controls all primitive operations of the computer such as PDA and Smartphone. To install and execute the third party applications (known as apps) by users are allowed in the operating system devices. It enumerates new functionalities of the devices. Today mobile devices with a desired OS are called Smartphone’s and a wide range of applications for instances games, apps,communication or social media apps, digital maps, etc are used by users.

Each form of advertisement requires several different strategies in order to make the advertisement effective and appealing to the consumer. With the ever popular rising of the usage of the internet, online advertisements have also become more popular. Social Media has been and will be the next biggest thing to have change the way our world is connected. All the applications set up in one smart device can do possibly anything to send information across the world. Inventors like Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of facebook, originally thought of the idea to stay in touch with his fellow classmates by the use of facebook. Facebook now has more than 175 million active users (Andreas). About 82% of the world’s online population or 1.2 billion people, have access to a social networking site (Social media growth…). Advertising in the digital era has evolved and is continually adapting to the changes. Just like the print industry, music industry, television industry, they all have to conform to the digital era. Ad agencies that continue to use the Internet as one of its main sources will see continual growth due to the rises in users. Internet continues to fuel ads via websites, videos, applications, etc. Social media also will continue to help ad agencies grow with them establishing relationships with communities who fit the ads they are showing. Mobile technology will continue to grow and more people will gain access to smartphones. Ads on mobile will boost the business for ads and awareness of the ads. Advertising is a large business and will change more as the years continue.
We know the ‘PC era’ is replaced by a ‘Smart-phone’ era, when we see almost every hand holding on to a smart-phone these days.
