“Engineers like to solve problems. If there are no problems handily available, they will create their own problems.” This was said by Scott Adams who is an Engineer. There are a lot of careers out there that are interesting, fun, and a career that makes a lot of money! Engineering is one of those careers that fills in all of those points. Engineering is a great career to get into, it’s a career that almost anyone would have fun with. There are 40 different types of engineering so him/her will be able to choose through different options; whichever suits them or whatever they are interesting in. Engineering is one of the great careers that him/her could get into and make a lot of money for the rest of their lifetime as long as they are willing …show more content…
Some of the negatives aspects of engineering are the work can be stressful, they could have a big workload at times, and they will have to be ready for change. Engineering could be stressful at times and he/she will have to use their creativity and other skills they have accumulated to get the job done. They will have a big workload at times too, but that is something that comes with the job so they shouldn’t try to get into engineering if they are not ready for times when they’ll be real busy. (“Pros and Cons of an Engineering Degree”). They will also have to be ready for change, and what that means is that in the field of engineering and technology there is always change, so they’ll have to be ready to adjust to the change and keep progressing forward. There are not only negative aspects in engineering, but there are many positive aspects as well that they’ll see as they carry on with reading. There are many positive aspects, but these positive aspects are different from any other regular jobs. Some of the positive aspects are he/she will make great salary fresh from college, having a engineering education can open up doors for many other jobs, and engineers often move up to better positions which will get them more money. While gathering information about this career, it seems to be one of the best careers out there that allows you to take care of your family and yourself . He/she does have to have the required engineering to have this job, so that they will have the knowledge and understanding of what they need to accomplish. Last, there are positive as well as negative aspects in the field of engineering, but if he/she wants this job then the negative aspects shouldn’t matter, they should just deal with it. Someone who is trying to get into engineering just needs to make sure they have are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job the done and get the right
Engineering is a large occupational field. An engineer does many things from designing, to build, to marketing. It combines science, math, and computer knowledge Education is very important whether it is college or high school. There are many competitions to help students get experience. An Imagineer builds, designs, and tests attraction for the Walt Disney Corporation. Being an Imagineer has many benefits, working for Walt Disney can be very rewarding. A Control Systems Engineering job at Walt Disney Imagineering is the career that many hope to achieve in the
Electrical engineering is a specific area of engineering that has to do with analyzing and applying what you know to electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism (Wikipedia, “Electrical”). This field of engineering has a large variety of subfields, including: electronics, digital computers, power engineering, telecommunications, control systems, and many more (Wikipedia, “Electrical”). One reason why I want to go into electrical engineering is that there are so many choices for a career path to branch to and everything comes to me so easily. I find that I enjoy the work that I do and it’s something that I am exceptionally good at. I can really see myself doing this as a lifelong career and not having to worry about getting stuck in a dead end job. The only thing I have to do to get started is decide what school I want to go to and which one will help me get to where I want to be, the best.
Engineering is an occupation that deals with the building and designing of new or improved products. To succeed in the field you have to skills in science, math and technology. You must also be able to look at problems from a creative perspective to solve them. The unique challenge this poses is what draws me to the field.
Common sense seems to dictate that I should be an engineer. My oldest brother is an electrical engineer for Cisco, my other brother is studying mechanical engineering at UNC Charlotte, my uncle is a petroleum engineer, and so is my cousin. But despite all this, choosing this discipline wasn’t an easy choice because I wanted to be a dentist, but after much consideration, I decided to study electrical engineering. Electrical engineering might be a relatively new type of engineering. It is not as old as other types of engineer are, and the job outlook is not predicted to be optimistic, according to Bls.gov “Employment of electrical and electronics engineers is projected to show little or no change from 2014 to 2024.” (Bls.gov 2015). So employment for electrical engineering is not good, but this does not affect my commitment to become an electrical engineer.

Engineering is the cornerstone for human development. Engineers are problem solvers who search for quicker, better, cheaper, and more efficient ways to solve problems. Engineers use their knowledge in mathematics and natural sciences to produce and enhance modern technology. It combines different subsets of mathematics, science, and technology. The profession applies scientific theory to design, develop, and analyze technological solutions. It is generally accepted that the four major branches of engineering are mechanical, civil, chemical, and electrical. There are numerous other divisions derived from the concentrations, combinations, or extensions of the major
To live a good life, as a person and as a professional, engineers must find the perfect balance between living and working both independently and proactively, while maintaining interdependent personal and professional relationships. Furthermore, engineers should continuously seek opportunities for them to use their knowledge and expertise in ways that benefit mankind. This balance in an engineer's personal and professional lifestyle grants a level of self-actualization that will propel him to a happy and fulfilling life. Continuous self-improvement, empowering those around you and the giving of yourself to worthy causes are the keys that will help you achieve the good life.
Any engineering career starts from the resume writing. Usually a resume consists of two parts: the list of things that you have done well in your life and the cover letter. Dr. Craig Gunn, a professor of mechanical engineering, clearly explains, “Many big companies do not require the cover letter, but it will be much better for you to write one, because if a manager will read it for some reason, your chances to get a job will be a lot higher.” A person that is going to give you a job will not see you directly, so you have to convince him or her not to throw your resume in the basket by presenting all of your best qualities in the resume. To write a good convincing resume is a very difficult thing to accomplish without some preparations. A good thing will be to go to a library and read a special book about resume writing. Also, the Internet is full of websites like http://www.7step-resumesampler.com/ that have a lot of important information about this subject.
Engineering has been a key interest of mine since childhood. While still in grade school I enjoyed listening to my father, an electrical engineer, teach me about advances in technology, and was always eager to hear more. I was introduced to my first computer at the age of five, and have loved interacting with them ever since. My decision to study engineering as a career was no surprise to those who knew me.
...the appropriate understanding and technical skills move on to become architectural engineers, civil, engineering, electrical, mechanical engineers or even an engineer technician. The unsurpassed career selection would be to choose an industry to perform in then specialize in it, so that we are in extraordinary high demand and don’t have to worry about being an individual that is unemployed. This is the reason why my dad proceeded to college for E.M.T. and decided to broaden his education to E.M.T. Specialist.
According to Queen Elizabeth II, “At its heart, engineering is about using science to find creative, practical solutions. It is a noble profession.” Engineers use math and science to solve the world’s problems. They also use their knowledge to innovate new types of ideas that people did not know they needed to make their lives better. Different types of engineers use their skills to solve different, select types of problems. For example, biomedical engineers use their knowledge in math, biology, and the medical field to create new inventions that help problems in those fields. Engineers are important to society because they solve important problems in the world with math and science and their technology is used to save lives and make them easier.
“To the optimist, the glass is half full. To the pessimist, the glass is half empty. To the engineer, the glass is twice as big, as it should be.” -Unknown. A job that you are being paid to do by thinking and being creative makes a job fun. This job is that of an Electrical Engineer. Not only is engineering a well-paying job, but it can also be very interesting for those that are creative and enjoy math and science. Pursuing a job in the engineering field is very extensive and there are many options and opportunities. Engineering, in general, is a very appealing field because of the wide range of jobs available. The field is very extensive and has many different opportunities and varieties of jobs. Electrical engineering could be the perfect
Engineering is the application of scientific, economic design and a wide range of other specialized fields of engineering. As an engineer, there are four major different areas of engineering work that I can concern about, that is chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. Beyond this four, sources separate to other main branches. Based on the electrical engineering is concerned with the basic forms of energy that run the world, there is a hopeful future in taking this major as my direction of future. However, what exactly is the benefit of this major; am I suppose to choose this major; what kinds of job opportunities that I am able to get and various of other questions are what I concerned the most.
Right from my school days, I have always shown a high degree of competence and interest in subjects like Mathematics and Science. I scored 88 marks in Mathematics & 84 marks in Science in Secondary School (10th standard). It was with this motivation that I took up the Science stream in my senior school. I completed my senior school with first class grade. My fairly good performance at secondary and senior school gave me the confidence to take Engineering as my career.
Also electronics need to been being innovated a lot and it has been growing a lot, which means engineers won’t have to worry about getting a new job. Also, engineers get a really good, high paying jobs right after school which is nice because they will pay off school loans faster. Doctors and Professor have to do extra schooling to get a high paying job, but engineers don’t too. One benefit which isn’t true for all engineers, but they can easily be if wish, is opportunities to travel around the world. Engineering is all over the world and engineering companies have different parts in different parts of the world. Getting to travel also depends on what kind of engineer or kind of electrical engineer, but engineers can easily find a job where they can travel to different places if they want to. One huge benefit is the gaining of prestige, respect, admiration, and trust. When people think of an engineer or someone says they’re an engineer people will automatically think higher of that person and trust him more, because when they hear engineer they think of a super smart inverter, which is what they are. People who really know engineers even trust them more because they know that for a living they design complicated stuff and solve
