What Are The Pros And Cons Of Learning History

728 Words2 Pages

My argument I will be addressing is "What are the pros and cons of learning history and why it is important to learn history?" This argument is related to my major since I am pursuing to become an Archaeologist. My major is European History, and I believe that History is super fascinating. There are quite a few cons as there is pros. History is the most important subject of our lives since I certainly believe "History repeats itself."
I have four possible key points for my topic: Biology, Adventure, Diseases and Pain/Misery. Without biology, history would be kind of pointless. If it was not for the Archaeologists, we would never have known of all the deep history of our pasts. Adventure is (in my opinion) a big part of history; we would never …show more content…

Everyone will need to learn history every once and awhile. My potential challenges would be trying to keep those who are not interested in history's attention. I hope that I will be persuasive enough for them to keep reading. I can be a bit persuasive sometimes.
Personally, my biggest goal for this essay is to pass it with a good enough grade. I can already see throughout the beginnings of my research that this will be very challenging. I will need to stay focused, which will be a bit difficult since my household is quite talkative and the walls are paper thin so I can hear everything that is going on. I will need to keep finding good enough sources for my essay, so far I found a few sources. I will also definitely need to get help for my potential learning disorder; my mind tends to wander when I get bored or words love to fly off the page.

I seem to be concentrating on the cons of history at the moment with a little pro with how cultures succeed. I am certain that this will help me show the audience that diseases are not to mess around with. Also, it will help me show that it is important to learn about the past to figure out more ways to stop these diseases from spreading or getting …show more content…

The key points that have been stated are biology, diseases and pain/misery. If it wasn't for biology, we would never know how deep and effective diseases spread throughout a body. Pain and misery show throughout how when someone contracts a disease or when someone loses someone from a disease. It also shows when cultures are struggling. The whole thing so far is about diseases, so I do not need to mention anything about that.
I will put evidence everywhere around this essay. I will put a few words in the end of the introduction paragraph, telling people what to expect in the essay. I will constantly be talking about the evidence throughout the body of the essay. I will revise what I have been writing about in the conclusion paragraph. This will hopefully keep people interested in the essay until the end.
My entire essay would be a revision strategy. I will always bring up something from other parts of the essay. This strategy would be effective because it would help keep the reader interested until the end of the essay. It will help keep the argument fresh in the mind so they can make up their mind of which side they should follow at the end. Bringing up certain keywords throughout the essay would be a good way of
