One of the most consequential actions of World War II would be the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. These atomic bombs were developed by the United States under a project discussed under the name “The Manhattan Project”. President Truman made that decision to deploy those bombs and six days after the bombing Japan surrendered. Much debate surrounds over the question of if this disastrous action of the United States actually ended the war.
