When talking about fossil fuels they are fuels that come naturally out of the ground after forming for millions of years from soil, plants and other physical and liquid beings that have been soaked into the ground over that time. With this being said fossil fuels consist of oil, natural gas and coal (Institution of Mechanical Engineers). Since these fuels have been being used for years now the amount we have is diminishing, however, the amount they are diminishing is not at an alarming rate; but it is something that we should be worried about for in the future.
In the last almost 40 years the use of fossil fuels have increased almost four times since 1965 to 2011 (Mitsubishi). Those numbers are not strictly from the United States, they are numbers from all around the world, North America, Central and South America, Europe, Former Soviet Union, Middle East, Africa, …show more content…

When using oil there are multiple advantages instead of using the other fossil fuel available. Those advantages are easily available, large amounts of energy, calorific value, stability, transportation, large amounts, low cost, and lastly the drilling sites are easy to set up (Advantages of Fossil Fuels). To begin with, easily available, while geologist are looking they keep finding more and more oil under the surfaces that they are looking (AFF). With large amounts of energy since this machines are powered by a little amount of few they can produce more energy to be used (AFF). With oil producing high levels of calorific value, it makes the oil more effective when being used (AFF). The chemicals that compose oil makes much more stable when being used, as well, the longer they are around the more stable it becomes (AFF). When it comes to oil there are far more beneficial outcomes with the price and ease of availability it makes oil one of the most used and resourceful fossil
