False promises and pretty lies are all it takes to convince people. A stereotype is used to oversimplify and categorize a specific group of people or object. While a misconception is a view that is incorrect based on false statements of assumptions. Stereotypical and misconception phrases are applied when an individual desires to attack another person on a different level emotionally. It is hard to believe that someone’s child, family member, or friend would be taken from their regular atmosphere to be used for something unwilling and traumatizing apart from one's life. A lot of people have many misinterpretations about young girls in human trafficking in which form horrific stereotypes or misconceptions for these individuals in a way that these young women cannot defend themselves, so people need to understand the whole situation.
Misconceptions and stereotypes are similar in a way that both can be used negatively towards a group or a person. Although, the two are different …show more content…

A stereotype is based on some truth but is overly exaggerated to an extent, and a misconception has no support for the assumptions being proclaimed towards a person or group. Honestly, people do this without sometimes realizing that oneself is attacking a person or group in this way. People believe that these young women want to be there or that they want to be working this spot as a prostitute. Human trafficking is one of the highest illegal money making industries with a 30 billion dollar regiment a year. People will see more of human trafficking in individual states or countries with more crime rate, or poverty.
