I have not failed many times in welding but some things I have struggled with and have had trouble with were my straightness in my beads, dealing with the guys, and my leg length. When I do not do something correctly I usually do not take failure as an option. Being in this field is very complicated. I tend to have issues with the guys and sometimes when I am stressed out things start to get to me and cause me to do poorly. I have been told I should not be in this type of industry just because I am female. To tell the truth us women have all the right to be in welding as men do. I can get upset and some of the things the guys say do get to me. But, when I do weld it sometimes takes the stress and issues I have away. I have been working on straightening them up for three years and each time they get better and better. Straightness and neatness are a big deal due to how and what I am welding on. From the time I started to where I am now I have improved greatly with this. Also, dealing with the straightness comes the big deal of leg length. I remember when I first started welding I would have the issue with unequally legged meaning my welds would favor one side. Me and my teacher would talk about the problem and he would give me advice to fix it. Even though I know what I am doing wrong I still am unable to fix the problem. This issue has caused me to have a lower score on my tasks and projects. In my three years of being in this career I still do not have it down. I am not failing as bad with this problem as when I first started. These three things that I have had trouble with have greatly improved from when I first started and I am happy to be in this program. I can not wait to further my education and fulfill my welding
