The lifestyle choices we make are crucial for our health. We do not realize that we have become lazier over the generations. Every year, the age range of death has increased due to how we carry ourselves everyday. Not only is our physical health important but also our mental, emotional, and spiritual health. There are many changes I believe that can help us enjoy a healthier way of living. They will decrease our chances for disease and increase our quality of life. First of all, you really do change from the inside out so changes begin within your spiritual life. Embrace what God has created for you to enjoy. Take a walk in nature by yourself. It will open up a great opportunity to communicate with your Creator. When I’m feeling overwhelmed, I like to take a step outside to get away from all the noise. God gave us his creations to enjoy and to feel at home when we spend time in them. Try doing or giving something nice for someone other than yourself. “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” –Acts 20:35. You can definitely make someone’s day. We are often so caught up within our own problems that we forget others are going through some difficult times also. “This person shows me Christ and now I want to change.” Doing or giving something nice to someone shines the light God has put within you. Read the Bible. God left us an over-flowing fountain of good advice in His book. Our soul needs to be fed with His Word on a daily basis. We can make time aside, even for a few minutes, to open our Bibles and read. It’s filled with so many stories on how to deal with what we may be going through. God has so much to say to us and our souls will never be fed with it until we read it. Is prayer good for your health? Keeping in contact with... ... middle of paper ... ...fluence our daily lives. It keeps us up at night, haunts our dreams, and sometimes makes people go crazy. The experiences we go through makes us who we are but we should not let it affect our health and how we think. Lastly but also very important is our physical health. We can improve this by going on monthly check-ups to the doctors’. They will give you advice on what to avoid preventing illnesses. Tests are vital to make sure your organs are working fine. Many people do not enjoy going to a physician’s office but it is necessary to make sure everything is going well with their bodies. My mother always tells me to drink water because it’s the most helpful thing in the world. We need to drink eight glasses of 8 oz. for our bodies to function properly. No longer do we rely on food growing in our own backyards but on meals that are served in less than a minute.
We can gain hope in the verse “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak” Psalms 40:29. Another verse that can encourage us is Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Even though we may feel quite little and powerless, all we must do is ask Christ for help and we will be able to “do all things through Christ”. This includes overcoming sin that we as humans don’t have the power to overcome by ourselves. I don’t know about you, but this makes me extremely thankful for our God who cares for us and is willing to use His strength to save
Instead, why not enjoy the time that you have than worrying about your problems. I wonder why is it.. I wonder why is it that when someone has been told that they have some type of cancer and they’re going to die in six months that they automatically decide to have a great life, why is that? Well it’s because they thought their entire life that they deserved to just survive. God didn’t put us on this earth to simply survive, God put us on this earth to live, to enjoy the benefits of our hard work. That’s why he put us on this earth for and if you aren’t living then do what you would do if you didn’t have any time left in this world, write it down and go do it. There’s a huge difference between living and surviving, it shouldn’t take some type of cancer or disease, or for you to get in a car accident or for you to lose a loved one to actually go out there and live your life. Do not give yourself a chance to go back, do not give yourself a chance to stop moving forward and do not give yourself a chance to second guess yourself because life is not about surviving, it’s about living. Thank
Health is described as physical and mental well-being and freedom from disease, pain or defect. However, such descriptions only superficially define the actual meaning of health. There may be many occasions when individuals are not necessarily ill or in pain but may be overweight, stressed or emotionally unstable. Health is a quality of life involving dynamic interaction and interdependence among the individual’s physical state, their mental and emotional reactions, and the social context in which the individual exists. There are many factors that influence your health, but three major components contribute to general well-being: Self-awareness, a balanced diet and, regular physical activity.
I have being drinking a lot of sodas and sport drinks, and maybe barely two cups a day of water. I guess I am one of those people who care more about the taste then its contents but I have to change to have a longer lasting health. I know the advantages and benefits of water so I am going to reduce drinking carbonated drinks and concentrate more on drinking water. One of the benefits I see that comes out of drinking water is I will be saving a lot of money on sodas and sport drinks. But the main reason to drink water would be to achieve good and better health.
Testimonies of how you stayed faithful even when times were tough. Moments you will be able to look back and be thankful to God for them. Those moments will increase your faith and you will be able to trust God because of what happened in the past. Your testimonies are great to edify yourself but even better to edify other people. Using your experience, you will be able to encourage people in their relationship with God. If we look at Daniel in the Bible, we know that he was a good man who feared God, yet God allowed him to be sentenced to death in a lion’s den. Daniel was saved by God so it’s hard to call it a suffering, but still we see that God used this situation to show his might to the king Darius and his nation –“I issues a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end. He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.” Dave Earley says it so well, “God’s ultimate plan behind all of His activities on this planet is to present humanity with a clear testimony of who He truly is and what He
According to Sharpe (2015), “when truly deep suffering comes into their lives, Christians will often pray to God for healing or rescue” (para. 2). Based on this fundamental belief in the Christian worldview, it is imperative that every human encounter suffering as this brings a person closer in their relationship with God. The Christian worldview holds a belief that God has a purpose for everything that happens in a person’s life, whether it is joy and happiness, pain and suffering, and life and death. This can be seen throughout the Bible such as “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’” (Jeremiah 29:11, New International Version), and in Ecclesiastes 3 “A Time for Everything.” These core Christian beliefs should cause a person to look past the suffering that he or she is facing, and try to see what kind of positives can come from the current suffering that a person is
In the United States over seventy percent of adults are considered to be overweight. Maintain a healthy weight. "Determine whether you are overweight by checking your body mass index. If you are overweight, it can lead to a higher risk of chronic disease such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, stroke and certain cancers."(How) Although the price of a burger is going down the prices of salads goes up. The fast food industry grows daily so while more jobs are being provided more and more people die from a heart attack. "Often a result of unhealthy eating habits and increased weight gain. Dietary habits established in childhood often carry into adulthood" (The importance) As a culture we know that cheating is wrong so why do we cheat our diets or our work outs. We often make new year resolutions but often give up shortly a couple days later, why? To achieve a healthy lifestyle all you have to do is look at the big picture, plan ahead, maintain a healthy diet, and exercise.
People should also consider doing more activities in order to maintain a healthy status. According to the Department of Health and Human Services and Department of Agriculture, “physical activity levels have remained low over time”. This research proves that young adults are eating more and exercising less. Maybe changing eating habits and doing more exercise would help them to improve their health.
In conclusion, having a healthy lifestyle helps reduce the risk of health problems, whether you have a family history of diseases or not. Physical activity, and making smart choices with how much you consume and what you consume can expand your lifespan. Being aware of your body composition can help identify your risk classification, and it can help plan a way to avoid diseases. Just like too much body fat can be harmful to health, having too little fat can also be crucial to a person’s health. The goal should be to have a balanced calorie intake and physical activity (calorie in = calorie out) for a healthy lifestyle.

Although medical checkups remain vital to the general health status of a person, the medical world is divided over the issue. Some school of thought advises that adults should submit to a yearly medical checkup. Talk to a supportive person nearby or on the phone. When you engage in conversation with someone else, you are able to briefly take your mind off of whatever is bothering you.
