The lifestyle choices we make are crucial for our health. We do not realize that we have become lazier over the generations. Every year, the age range of death has increased due to how we carry ourselves everyday. Not only is our physical health important but also our mental, emotional, and spiritual health. There are many changes I believe that can help us enjoy a healthier way of living. They will decrease our chances for disease and increase our quality of life. First of all, you really do change from the inside out so changes begin within your spiritual life. Embrace what God has created for you to enjoy. Take a walk in nature by yourself. It will open up a great opportunity to communicate with your Creator. When I’m feeling overwhelmed, I like to take a step outside to get away from all the noise. God gave us his creations to enjoy and to feel at home when we spend time in them. Try doing or giving something nice for someone other than yourself. “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” –Acts 20:35. You can definitely make someone’s day. We are often so caught up within our own problems that we forget others are going through some difficult times also. “This person shows me Christ and now I want to change.” Doing or giving something nice to someone shines the light God has put within you. Read the Bible. God left us an over-flowing fountain of good advice in His book. Our soul needs to be fed with His Word on a daily basis. We can make time aside, even for a few minutes, to open our Bibles and read. It’s filled with so many stories on how to deal with what we may be going through. God has so much to say to us and our souls will never be fed with it until we read it. Is prayer good for your health? Keeping in contact with... ... middle of paper ... ...fluence our daily lives. It keeps us up at night, haunts our dreams, and sometimes makes people go crazy. The experiences we go through makes us who we are but we should not let it affect our health and how we think. Lastly but also very important is our physical health. We can improve this by going on monthly check-ups to the doctors’. They will give you advice on what to avoid preventing illnesses. Tests are vital to make sure your organs are working fine. Many people do not enjoy going to a physician’s office but it is necessary to make sure everything is going well with their bodies. My mother always tells me to drink water because it’s the most helpful thing in the world. We need to drink eight glasses of 8 oz. for our bodies to function properly. No longer do we rely on food growing in our own backyards but on meals that are served in less than a minute.
